Silver Dollar Saloon

Total dive bar - and I mean that in the nicest way possible.

My friends and I were planning to go bowling at Action Lanes down the street but we had about 1 hour to kill before any lanes opened up and Silver Dollar Saloon was the closest bar. So we wandered on over.

Keep in mind, this was a Wednesday night but the place wasn't completely empty or packed. They have 1 pool table (which we snagged) and several dartboards and TVs. The bartender was really nice and we all ordered beers (which are served in HUGE steins!)

We played 2 games of pool and everyone helped us out and gave us advice on tricky shots. All in all, not a bad place to kill some time :)

The people here are chill. There are at least six dart boards and always a friendly face to play against after say 5pm daily. The thing that sucks is that people still smoke inside here. So, a food few minutes in here and you are guaranteed to leave reeeeeeking of cigarette smoke. There are a few beers on tap. It nothing dark. Guinness is $5.25 or so but comes straight out the bottle, be sure to ask what is on tap rather than just asking if they have a certain brew. If not, you may end up with a bottle of beer in a half filled stein. Darts are a big deal in here. Come check it out but beware of the smoke issues.

Nice dive bar. If you don't like the smell of cigarette smoke, avoid this place. Otherwise its great.

$5.75 for 22 oz draft beer.
