Five Guys Burgers and Fries

It deserves 5 stars but yelp will filter.  Best burgers anywhere, and the fries, oh my!

Wow, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks this place is TOO FREAKING LOUD!  My family and I were excited when we saw a Five Guys would be opening in Crystal Lake.  We moved here not too long ago and we'd eaten at Five Guys before and enjoyed it.

However, after several visits at this location, we will not be back.  The food is fine, that's really not the issue.  Although, practically every time we go there they screw up my husband's hamburger and have to make him a new one.  The real issue is the NOISE.  I don't know who told the employees that constant yelling back and forth is a good way to communicate, but it needs to stop.  It's totally unprofessional, disturbing and downright annoying.  

They yell when you walk in the door, they yell when your food is finally ready and they yell some strange chants to each other just for the sake of yelling, I think.  It's utterly ridiculous.

The music is usually too loud as well.  This isn't a night club.  It's a family burger place.  I've eaten there many times and seen other people just dumbfounded by all of the yelling and noise going on.

So yeah, see ya Five Guys.  We're done.  Peace out!  We've given you too much of our money and too many chances to get it right.  Maybe one day you'll realize it's not about how much fun your employees can have shouting at each other.

Good but I don't get what all the hype is about???  I know of many other places around that I can get a burger just as good or better for less $.  The fires were very good but I have to frown upon paying $13 for a burger, fries and a soda.
