Nick's Pizza & Pub

Best pizza in McHenry county in my opinion. We had our rehersal dinner here and they did a nice job. And how can you not love a place where you can throw peanut shells on the floor?

Oh, yeahhh!  Another great pizza place & pub.  For those of you in Lake and McHenry Counties, this is almost a carbon copy of Bill's Pizza & Pub in Mundelein.  Exterior is like an old dairy barn, similar Northwoods lodge interior motif,  really good crispy cracker crust specialty pizzas, throw your peanut shells on the floor, purchase frozen pizza for take home, mounted taxidermy specimens on display, family friendly for the kids with a fish tank and games.

If you're not a thin crust pizza fan, they do have other items on the menu.  Servers and bartenders are awesome, a good bar area with a few specialty beers, usually a wait during lunch and dinner time.

In my gluten eating days, this was my favorite local pizza place. The thin crust pizza is so freakin good! Add some Hacker-Pschorr or a Blue Moon and you've got a successful pizza night!

I've had the double decker on several occasions, but its just too much for me...it's delicious though!

I saw on their site that they offer gluten free pizza in the 10" size now. Awesome! I'll have to check it out next time I'm in town. Some gluten free beer would be a bonus!
