Damn, I love this place.
I am a vegetarian and ADORE the cheese veggie burger. Â It is made up a compilation of veggies and not some starchy-wheat by-product patty.
I seriously cannot believe people have a beef (no pun intended) with this place. Â The french fries alone are worth 10x the actual calorie count!
Yeah, it is a little pricy, but the food is amazing.
Sidenote: there is this young-ish black guy who works there who is the hardest working young man that I have ever seen. Â Always smiling and busting his ass. Â If I had a business, I would totally hire him. Â I have been meaning to email someone about that. Â
Only cons: the calories and sometimes the music is playing a little loud
If you don't get it, then you just don't fucking get it. Â It's that simple. Â If you've tasted meat, formed your own burgers at home and cared for their preparation and taste. Â You would probably get it. Â Meat that is never frozen and hand formed. Â In the same thinking, if you have eaten fries fried in vegetable oil and fries made in peanut oil, there is a difference tasted & felt in the texture.
Some might say, its as average as your corner burger joint. Â NOT. Â The corner burger joint, depending on the place would most likely use frozen content, God only knows how long its been frozen. Â If we consider the oil used to fry the fries, there are some places which recycle oil or use the same batch for days. Â This means, you would taste everything that's been fried in the same oil. Â Ew!. Â Of course there are a lot of so called connoisseurs of burgers that claim to know a lot, but instead of tasting, they merely gulp it down with soda.
I like that regardless of location, service seems to be pretty usual. Â Whereas there are slight differences in how quickly their staff gets to keeping the tables and floors clean and clear. Â Since they offer free shelled peanuts, know that the floors and tables can be full of debris. Â This location can suit many more, I would imagine about thirty or so during a "rush". Â Getting your order can be fairly quick depending on the time of your visit.
Parking is available across the street or further up or down the block. Â There is a private parking lot next door but it belongs to the bank on the corner. Â Supposedly the bank checks cars even at night, so there is possibility of being towed. Â Make sure to read all signage.
This place is so average it's almost painful.
The burger is better than your average fast food joint, but compared to similarly-priced burgers, Five Guys is pretty low.
At $10+ for a burger and fries, you'd think you'd be getting something a little more substantial.
The peanuts make for a great afternoon snack, though.
