I have always enjoyed this bar since I've been back in town, it's a place I can go and just forget my worries for a few minutes before heading out. Typically, I'll have one or two bottles, nothing near enough to impair me, for good reason. Â The regulars here are friendly, bartender is awesome, and I've often struck up many a friendly conversation with a "wise old owl" there. Granted, they start the conversation more.
The bar area itself is small, but that's because there's a big restaurant part of it. The building is not too large, it's very quaint. They have activities there and Karaoke every week on Thursdays, usually.
The food is good, they have awesome onion rings. I can say I've never had a problem here at all. Come by and have yourself a drink, with a hearty plate of onion rings, and tell them Matthew sent ya! Though they may not know you're referring to me XD
Do you ever have one of those nights where your wanderlust gets the best of of you and you find yourself in an unfamiliar part of town in dire need of a drink? That's the situation we found ourselves in a few nights ago.
We were in Euless and drove past the Flame Steakhouse and decided 'why not?' Okay I said why not, my guy wasn't so sure as he is lacking a sense of adventure. I was driving, so that's where we ended up.
This is a regulars dive for sure, but they were nothing but nice to us. Median age was close to 65 but that suits me just fine, they have the best stories anyway.
Beer was served only in cans, which creeps me out, but the bartender quickly offered up a cold mug and all was right with the world again. $2.00 a can, I think that is quite the deal. You must have respect for a bartender that can serve up a couple of beers and not let the inch of ash on her cigarette drop in your glass.
They serve food- steaks and whatnot as the name proclaims, but we didn't partake in any. Maybe next time if my boyfriend is feeling adventurous.
