First off I would like to say the food was AMAZING, however... we did wait an hour and 20 minutes for our table (which was understandable for a Friday night), at first we waited an hour and the table that was available was right next to the front door, so we asked the hostess if we can be somewhere else, and he was more than willing to accommodate that. Â
Second, the waitress was the rudest waitress we have ever experienced. Â My boyfriend and I were ready to order, and we even told the waitress we were ready. Â Instead of happily taking our orders, she forced us to hear the specials in which we had no interested in. Â So as politely and as patiently we waited to listen to the specials. Â As she was done giving us the specials, she left without asking what we wanted. Â We became irritated, and luckily the hostess came to check on us, who turned out to be the owner, and we told him our situation, so he apologized and happily got us another waitress. Â As the original waitress saw that we had a new waitress, she chimed in to take over our orders. Â Midway through our meal, she asked if we wanted a box and we were not even done eating yet, as if she wanted to get rid of us. Â We over heard at another table next to us, a party of 5 that she was genuinely nice to them. Â
My boyfriend has been here twice before I have, and has had the best service, but very disappointed in the service we had on Friday night. Â The waitress did not deserve any tip but got our two cents.
I would come back but hope to not ever see that waitress again, she does not deserve to work at the Flying Pig.
My husband and I went here last night for my birthday! The food was spectacular. We had the clam and mussels as a starter, we each had  one of the daily specials ( husband the steak di jour and I the pasta di jour (which happened to be spatzel)) Both came highly recommended from the waitress.  We also got an order of the bacon mac and cheese... lets just say HEAVENLY! The drinks, food, and dessert were by far the best food I have had since I moved to Cali.
