Village Pub

Stopped in for a quick beer this weekend.  Place was not bad; prices are extremely reasonable.  It is very narrow so you don't dare cut an Irish Rose while your there.

You know me! Everywhere I visit, it's only natural that I seek out the nearest, most popular dive bar. And thankfully, this one did not disappoint!

After hitting up nearby Australian Grill for dinner, this was the most logical, and appreciated second stop.

You walk in, and WHAM! The smell of popcorn smacks you square in the nostrils. It's free, y'all! Why not, right?

I was pleased by the above average draft selection as well. Better than your average dive bar that's for sure. Good on ya, California!

I was elated to play my favorite tunes on the jukebox while I was sucking down my beer, but to my delight, someone already beat me to playing the top 5 Michael Jackson songs of all time. Quintessential dive bar music - obviously.

You know how I know it's a good local bar? It was packed! Although, the "dance floor" was open for mingling (the only 'empty' space in the place), which wasn't much of a dance floor at all, but still allowed us to make funny faces in the floor-to-ceiling mirrors.

I can imagine this place being my #1 hangout if I was a local. Laid back, great beer, free popcorn. Perfect.
