Fred's Bar & Grill

Love Fred's for burgers and accompanying fried foods!  The place looks like its going to fall down, but good food sometimes requires bravery, just consider it ambiance.  Inside, its a typial bar, but cleaner.  I always order the Fred Burger (double cheeseburger) with onion rings.  The ladies that wait on you are competent and no-nonsense.   Simple food at good prices.

Grease burgers at their finest. We used to head over here for lunch as it's a short walk from Deaconess Hospital. Yummy burgers served quickly - certainly not gourmet but I used to love heading to Fred's for lunch. Nice dive-y bar area too in case you don't have to go to work. Cheap, good food and cheap beer too.

Kind of smoky in here from what I remember but not sure if they banned smoking there now. Either way, I'd recommend it for lunch if you're in the area - particularly if you've just had your cholesterol checked over at DH :)

The building itself looks as if it may fall down at any moment so you'd better try it now!
