Great service. The food was not exceptional, but not bad. A little pricey, but I would come back.

Went here for 5280 GNO...this place is pathetic! First of all, they sat us all the way in the corner where the "décor" is all musty and outdated. Our waiter, Jason, seemed like he just got done smoking some weed cause he kept forgetting everything. Second, our appetizers come out and we had to ask for the bread which is supposed to be complementary before our meal even comes out. Then he forgets to bring us our salads (first course)! Literally, I think we waited an hour for the main course and we were the only customers in his care. Our waiter brings out the entrées still without our salads and makes a comment saying "Opps I forgot...do you still want it?" Wtf kind of question is that! I'm pretty pissed at this point...the food came out cold and my dinner looked like it came from a horses ass. And refills on drinks? Don't expect them to ask. And when we finally ask for them, they brought out cloudy water... really?! Oh and the best part, gave cash to pay my bill and they short change me by almost a dollar. This place needs to seriously vamp up their service! Such a waste! Awful dining experience! Thanks Wack Fish Co.

EXCELLENT steak & crab legs, makes you realize how bad most steaks are when you eat such a good one!! A little pricy, but that would be my only complaint (and the music was really bad, loud jazz). Will definitely go back, you will never eat at Red Lobster again once you eat here! Good job :)

I went for Denver Restaurant Week to sample the menu at Fresh Fish Company and was very satisfied. The food itself was very good. It was cooked to specifications and each course was great. The place itself sort of looks like it's going through an identity crisis, with sleek fixtures throughout part of it and old wooden chairs and stained glass lamps through another. I definitely think streamlining it would have a much better impact. We also found two of our forks were not clean, but that was remedied quickly. Overall, the place was great. We will dine again.

My husband and I went here for dinner tonight as a part of Restaurant Week. We'd never been here, but the menu looked so good, we thought it would be a good time to test it out. What a disappointment! The decor is super dated, but we thought maybe it was just that they spent all their time on the food... not so much. While their sourdough is tasty, that's where it ends. The clam chowder is more like potato soup with two clams in there. Every piece of seafood we tasted still had sand or grit, so they're clearly not cleaning the fish properly. The steak my husband had was on par with shoe leather - truly. The vanilla yams taste like someone dropped a bottle of vanilla extract into mashed yams from a can. And, to top it all off, their key lime pie was truly inedible. Green goo on a graham crust. The service was polite in an old-diner kind of way; they say things like "boss" and "sweetie" and the manager came by our table three times during the meal. It was all very odd and felt like a cheap, low-quality place... certainly not what we had expected.

Service was great. The food here is good, but a little bit overpriced. I would come back.
The meat was a little better than the fish.

Had dinner here with my boyfriend and for the money we spent - it was just ok. i had the scallops and they weren't all that. Quite bland, really. We had the coconut shrimp and calamari appetizers and they were both deep fried and tasted... deep fried. The calamari was kinda weird - not what I was expecting. My bf got the king crab legs and said they were just ok.

Then I went for happy hour a couple nights ago and it was so unbelievably crowded that there were literally people standing in the spaces between tables and 2 deep to the bar. I went to ask the hostess if there were any other seating options, and she ignored me at first, then she snapped 'It's full.' and immediately greeted the people standing behind me as if I weren't even there - very, very rude.

By comparison, we went to a seafood buffet up in Central City a couple months ago that was WAY better as well as WAY cheaper.

I gave it 2 stars because the server my BF and I had was great and very attentive, and I love their vanilla yams.

I've had dinner at Fresh Fish numerous times and just had a family birthday meal. Really the food is mediocre. The service is always good but they need a new chef.

I received gift certificates for this restaurant's Sunday Brunch. I spoke with Lindsey on the phone who helped me book out reservation. She was very knowledgeable and helpful answering questions and booking our reservation as we have never dined here before. We arrived ten minutes ahead of our reservation time and were seated promptly at our time.
Brian and Anthony were wonderful and attentive servers. The atmosphere was very enjoyable and relaxing. The complimentary mimosa or champagne was a really nice touch. Karen came by and visited us while we were dining to check
How everything was and made sure we had everything we needed. The snow crab legs and homemade donuts dipped in the chocolate fountain are delicious and amazing.
We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back again to try their regular dinner menu.

For a land locked state we have a wonderful seafood restaurant in the Denver area. The prices are great, the food is fantastic and they have a good beer selection. The sunday brunch is by far my favorite in Denver. Crab, crab and more crab. Can't get enough of the place.

I really hate writing this review but I feel like I have too. In fact I've been putting off since October. Went there for happy hour and sat at the bar and the food just wasn't that good. The happy hour foods are teeny tiny. I've been there in the past and the regular meals were probably a 3 or 3.5 star at best.

So, why the one star? Well thank goodness we were finished eating or I think I might have tossed my food. Mind you, I'm from Texas and my friend from Maryland. Both places where there are plenty of roaches. I've lived here over a decade and have never seen a roach except for one time and it was dead in our old office building. Well, a tiny roach crawled right in front of me and my friend, on the bar! In Texas, they have what are called "tree roaches" and that's as typical in your house as a field mouse getting into your house here. It doesn't matter how clean you are sometimes, they just make it in. However, the little roaches are only known to live in a filthy environment. Never ever saw a roach even on the floor in any restaurant in Texas.

All, I have to say is, I can't imagine how filthy a restaurant (especially in Denver) must be for a roach to crawl across the bar. The bartender smashed it with a napkin and I was thinking gross but he will probably clean it with some cleaner. Nope, didn't even wipe it with his dirty bar towel. The reaction on his face made me think this wasn't a first. The manager paid for our food and drink but no way will I ever go back!!

Have been going to this restaurant for over 20 yrs and still one of my favorites. The Happy Hour is the best if you love fresh Seafood, Oysters, Prime Rib Sandwiches just to mention a few on a vast menu at incredible prices, and good company. The Staff is the best, always ready to accomodate and make sure your dining experience is pleasurable.

This place is... bizarre. Went here for my husband's birthday and we had no idea what to expect because we had never been here or even driven past it, but the prices were pretty steep so we figured it would be a nice place.

They are caught between being a moderately upscale restaurant and an everyday diner. The place is huge and there are plenty of tables and cool fish tanks, but the decor looks like it was designed in the 90's and has never been updated since. The lamps looked old, the walls were not at all classy, and the neon "open" sign on the window was not the type of restaurant we were looking forward to for a birthday.

Our order was screwed up twice, which wasn't a big deal at all because they fixed it right away, but it certainly didn't help their case for earning more than 2 stars. I doubt we will ever come back, as I can't see spending $60 for mediocre fish. Looking around, we noticed a LOT of much older couples (think grandparents) and I'm pretty sure this is the reason this place has stayed afloat for so long. Pretty big disappointment overall.

Restaurant looks clean, bar service is extremely friendly. Ordering half dozen raw oysters (long island, VERY BIG), seared Ahi Tuna and Seafood Gumbo.

Okay, all done with a round of appetizers for my dinner. The raw oysters and horse radish were simply amazing! The seared ahi tuna with pickled ginger and watermelon was pretty good, have had better, but the tuna was delicious. Had to remove the watermelon as it took away from the tuna and wasabi sauce (which was really good). Finally I had the seafood gumbo which was okay. Too thin of a sauce, not thick enough. A little too dark in flavor, seemed to be over seasoned rather than seasoned correctly.

All in all, very clean restaurant, attentive wait staff and bar tender. Would definitely come here again.

Visited this place for their Seafood Brunch last Sunday. My BF's parents and grandma were in town and they have eaten here before and liked it.

First, you walk in through a club. Like a weird, strip mall nightclub. That's just weird.

Second, I don't like seafood. So a Seafood Brunch didn't have me jumping for joy. That said, I was pleasantly surprised. Mimosa included in the price--yes thank you.

Lots of selection from fresh fruit to pastries to an omelet bar, not to mention crab legs, smoked salmon, and peel and eat shrimp.

I stuffed myself on a variety of yummy things and then hit up the chocolate fountain for dessert.

Overall, I was happy with this place; but since I don't eat seafood, I don't think it was worth the $.

If you like seafood, you should try it.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! I actually worked here from 2000-2003 when I was in grad school. It's funny to read people's comments about the service and the decor...the decor actually has been updated recently, but yes, I know it's still a little dated. In any case, as far as the service, the managers here really are great people (Karen, Timothy and Billy have been there for years!) so let them know if there are problems and they will try to make it better. I promise.

As for the food, I never liked seafood or fish until I worked here. I grew up with dirty Midwest lake fish that smelled like bad fish. When I started here, I learned that good fish is not fishy. Well, salmon is a little, but not in a bad way. I still after all these years crave:

The Applewood smoked salmon, the halibut, their prime rib, the calamari and the sea bass.

You seriously cannot go wrong with any of those items. I haven't been in awhile to know what the sides are, but when I was last there, the garlic mashed potatoes were awesome.

Since 2003 I have traveled all over and eaten at a lot of places and they really have set the bar high for me when it comes to good fish. And I'm totally not saying that cuz I worked there! They've been open for almost 30 years which is practically unheard of in the restaurant world.

Don't let bad service experiences deter from going back!

Good seafood and main dishes - plus considering the quality and portions the price was not too bad. But while the feature dishes and appetizers were tasty, I would not waste any time on the side dishes as they were a bit lack luster.

The service was sort of disappointing considering the reputation (this is not Red Lobster). The dining room was not full but we rarely saw our waitress.

Overall a nice place on occasion if you love seafood.

Love their happy hour! The price is really reasonable, it's not the tastiest in the world but it's really worth the price. I wish the burgur would be more flavorful in the future. When I tried it, I just feel some thing is missing when I tried their food. The oyster is fresh, but I do wish it would be cleaner next timeit's. It's definitely worth it, but it could be better!
Bottom line is I will referral this place with my friend!

3.5 stars actually. The food was good but the service was average.

Food was good. The clam chowder was very yummy and chunky which I love. For my main dish I ordered the Mahi with coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp was good, not super breaded which was nice. The Mahi (and this is my fault, I didn't read the menu correctly) was also breaded and although it was seasoned well and cooked correctly, I was a bit dissapointed that it was breaded. Again, that was me who didn't read it right but, nonetheless, dissapointed a bit. The mixed sauce and fruit/veggies it came with was sweet and complimented the flavors well. Husband had the prime rib and garlic shrimp, that was very good. For dessert I had the key lime pie, which was good.

The service was very average. The waitress came by minimally and we had to request everything, she was not on top of it at all. She even forgot the shrimp in hubby's dish and we had to ask for it. Although that is the kitchen who didn't put it in the dish, she should have noticed the shrimp was missing. I should mention that it was not busy when we were there.

Decor was simple and outdated. Not ugly, just needs an update. They do have fish everywhere which can be fun.

I would recommend it for seafood and would try it again for happy hour but next time I will be more alert to what I am getting and know what to expect.

My friends and I went here for happy hour and was excited to see how cheap everything was (duh) so we ordered a lot of food for two. 3 dozen oysters, fish and chips, ceviche shrimp, shrimp cocktail, and mussels. The ONLY thing good was the raw oysters. And I would only come back for the 50 cents oysters. Everything else was horrible. Absolutely no flavor. Cocktail and tartar sauce was gross. I've tasted better at non seafood restaurants.

Reason why I gave this place one star was not only the food but the service. The blonde server was horrible! I understand it was busy. I was a server before but man, she just stinks at being polite. If she just came over and told us sorry she was busy but she'll be with us, I wouldn't mind waiting. Didn't come over until 20 mins after. Her attitude was just rude. Threw the plate down in front of the closest person. Checked on us TWICE. We had to ask the busser for more water, tobacco sauce, our bill, ect.

When I first moved to Denver I actually lived less than a mile away from The Fresh Fish Co. but never ate there. Today we went for lunch to celebrate my boyfriend's parents' birthdays.
They had made reservations but the place was pretty empty. Previous reviews were correct, the decor is pretty dated. They do have a nice oyster bar area with a waterfall as you first walk in, but you just see a lot of 70's wood paneling. My first issue with this place is the service. The guys who brought water and bread were quick and friendly. Our waiter came off as kind of snobby, not friendly at all. He also made a lot of mistakes. I ordered iced tea, he brought a pepsi, which I drank anyway. Then he re-filled it with diet pepsi. Also, I asked for gluten-free bread, which he never brought. Lastly, he brought the wrong sauce with my entree.
The food itself was mixed. We started with Crab Claws, which had been steamed perfectly and the cocktail sauce was good, but the honey mustard tasted like nothing more than sweetened mayonnaise. The Claws were so good we asked for a second order. I ordered the Yellowfin Tuna, rare, with Vanilla Yams and Almond Pesto. Instead of Almond Pesto, he brought Ginger Sesame sauce and never brought a replacement. The Vanilla Yams were sickeningly sweet and didn't taste like vanilla at all. The cole slaw was OK, nothing amazing. But the tuna filet was absolutely inexcusable for a fish restaurant. I was expecting a triangular filet that was seared on both sides and served rare as requested. They actually butterflied the filet to make it thinner and grilled it so it was more cooked than expected. Once I started eating, I noticed that it tasted more fishy than fresh tuna should taste. I kept eating, then noticed about half way through that one edge of the fish had a greenish tint to it. I sniffed it and it smelled very fishy. I stopped eating at that point. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food, but my boyfriend mentioned that his Salmon tasted similar to the farmed salmon filets we had bought at Costco.
We all ordered dessert, which everyone enjoyed. There was key lime pie, strawberry shortcake and creme brûlée. I ordered the coconut creme pie. It was definitely made from scratch, and was served as a pie crust "bowl" filled with coconut filling and whipped cream, topped with toasted coconut. I can honestly say I would have left hungry if it had not been for dessert.
Overall, this place is overpriced for what it is, but I think I would go back if I could just stick with the crab claws and raw oysters, and finish with dessert.

Came here last night for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. Despite having reservations, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table. We were finally seated next to a giant fish tank in the dining room.

The service was ok. I ordered the herb-seared tilapia with mango salsa and rosemary potatoes. Much to my dismay, I couldn't detect any rosemary in the potatoes at all; they just seemed like normal baked potatoes to me. When I ordered my salad, they didn't seem to have any of the salad dressing choices that I wanted. The server seemed annoyed when i asked what kinds of salad dressing they did have and then when someone mentioned that it was my boyfriend's birthday, he seemed to be only half-listening and started to walk to the next table before they had finished speaking. I took this as a sign that my boyfriend wasn't getting anything special for his birthday at this restaurant.

Overall, the meal was just ok. I thought it was pricey for the amount of food and quality. We ended up being given a coupon for a certain percentage off the birthday boy's plate, which was nice. I also liked the calorie counts on the menu. I'm not sure I would say this is the "best seafood restaurant" in town.

If I had to sum up this place in two letters the first would be "o" and the second would be "k". Not horrible, but definitely not great.

I went here twice. The first time for sunday brunch. I couldn't tell you one thing that I had at the buffet--it was that forgettable.

The second time I went for dinner and had the salmon. We also ordered the calamari, since we had read in several reviews that it was good. It wasn't. They served it on those puffy white noodles and some unexciting dipping sauces. My husband and I have this thing where we always order calamari if it's on the menu. FFC calamari isn't even in the running for the best. (Elway's is the best we've had in Denver, if you're curious.)

Okay, back to the salmon. It was good, and I liked the lemon caper sauce that I selected to go with it. I've probably had salmon just as good that I've made at home. The veggies were broccoli and red peppers, but they were limp and not very flavorful.

Our server at brunch was nice, our server at dinner was adequate. The dinner server would say the same thing word for word to each table during the different phases of the meal. Rule 201 of customer service is that you always have a few different ways to say the same thing, so you don't sound like a broken record/robot.

It is also interesting to note that both times, the people who did the water and bread were friendlier/more efficient than the servers. Perhaps some of those guys should get promoted, to get a chance to make the big bucks.

I get the distinct feeling that this place is resting on its laurels and may have been the "best seafood restaurant in denver" decades ago when there wasn't much competition. It seems to be a favorite of diners in the 50+ crowd. Which isn't a bad thing, I think they've just been coming for a long time, are satisfied with the product and service they receive, and keep this place (undeservedly) on best of lists.

As a sidenote: This is my first 3-star review. Now, I just need a 1-star review and I'll have a ratings quinfecta.

So I'm a oyster fanatic and to date this place is the cheapest in Colorado @ .50cents a Oyster. Along with that we got the calamari, ceviche and shrimp cocktail. The calamari was unique but I agree with previous post that olive garden does have some tasty calamari. The ceviche was too sweet for me as I like with a strong hint of lime and the shrimp was kind of blan. They make there own Ghost pepper hot sauce that is really good I just wish they would bottle it for sale and just not restaurant use.

To justify my four star rating it was mostly based on the the cost and freshness of the oysters along with there hot sauce... I'm a chili fanatic

Best Happy Hour OYSTERS! Always fresh and best price in town. Love stopping in for a dozen with a glass of chardonnay. Can't beat their horseradish, hottest I ever had, Yeoza! I actually go there to buy the horseradish for my prime rib sauce. Great happy hour menu. Haven't dined there in years, so I can't comment on there menu.

If you love raw oysters, try it out. I recommend it.

This place is a tourist trap if I ever saw one! I can't believe people can go there more than once.

It sounds like it's good fresh fish but it's not that great but the price is. I knew it was gonna be pricey but I figured it would be worth it.

I got the Filet and Lobster Tail. The filet was actually good but lobster tail was really tough and bland. It's like they just boiled it and put it on a plate. For $30+, i expect a lot more than that! The wife got the Mahi Mahi and it was a little under cooked and bland as well. It came with a sauce that didn't seem to compliment her dish very well.

Service was okay but we waited about 45 mins for our food and waitress didn't really check in on us much. Then when we said we had a groupon, it got worse. She stated she should've asked if we had a Groupon earlier because that means we would've had to "wait longer". However, we didn't know what she meant by that...wait longer for food, to get a table, or what?

Either way, for $70, we definitely can get much better food and service elsewhere.

My husband made reservations for us to explore a new place on our anniversary. Bravo! The restaurant claims 'best seafood restaurant in Denver 2008, 2009, 2010' been around for 30 years.

I'm not sure who was voting, but they certainly didn't have the dinner or experience we had this evening. The restaurant has a "guarantee" that you'll love your dinner or they will replace it...yada yada yada. Nope, you get one chance and that's all.

My husband and I split the lobster bisque...good texture and a good amount of lobster, but the soup was bland. A little cognac might be a nice touch. We also ordered the tiger shrimp cocktail. Very good cocktail sauce, really bad shrimp. Watered down, not firm and again, extremely bland.

I ordered the filet and lobster billed and the all time house favorite. The steak was actually the best part of the meal, quite odd for a seafood restaurant. The 5 oz lobster tail was awful. I can buy a tail at Costco and broil it for much less and have it come out much better. Like the shrimp, watery, flat and only the lemon and butter gave it any flavor at all. The rosemary red potatoes were good, but never tasted the rosemary. The sauteed vegetables were mush. My husband ordered the Walleye, but they were out. Second choice was the coconut encrusted mahi mahi. The mahi was good, th coating was dry and over cooked. The plum sauce and mango salsa gave it some credibility. The garlic mashed potatoes were a lump of starch and the veggies the same as mine.

We decided to give the dessert menu a try...the mud pie was very good, but could have been more frozen. The key lime pie was quite good as well.

The service was marginal, the booth was cramped, the decor needs a major update. 1 visit and that is all there is......we won't be back.

This place was fancy to us years ago, you know when you're young and naive. Now it's just a Red Lobster with a larger menu. We went with a birthday coupon, which they don't allow any surf and turf items to be included with the discount.

The restaurant needs some updating. I don't like being able to see in the kitchen, the booths dip too far sometimes. The hostesses usually act like they don't care. The kitchen takes awhile because the restaurant is just so large, it's hard to keep up.

The calamari is the best in town and the only reason why we will go. And the only reason that this place got higher than 2 stars. The fish is usually overcooked. I would like some steamed vegetables to go with the salt. I couldn't taste the veggies at all, needed to drink a lot of water to wash them down. The mashed potatoes and roasted potatoes are okay. The sourdough at the beginning of meal was tasty.

We will only go for calamari and sourdough, hopefully that's an option on the happy hour menu. The Thanksgiving brunch is totally worth it though. A good place for the young, but once you can afford Capital Grill, for a steak and Kevin Taylor for fish, and you won't want to come back. Pappadeux's and Joe's Crabshack is in the same price bracket and has better food.

Our only other experience at this place was for Sunday Brunch and we tried it for dinner this time. I have to say, I would preferred the brunch better. We started off with the mussels au gratin and the hot seafood combination. I believe for the mussels dish, they used about a pound and a half of cheese! The mussels were on the small side and the amount of cheese they used was overwhelming. I finally had to scrape the cheese away to eat just the meat. They declare on their menu that their calamari is the best in Denver, and I have to agree. The calamari was tender and breading they used was tasty.

It was crabfest month so I had the crab cakes. Decent amount of crab meat but I found the cake too sweet for my tastes. It almost tasted like they added sugar to the mixture to sweeten it up.

Had a bite of their filet mignon that another person in my party ordered and I just have to say, "order seafood from a seafood restaurant and order steak from a steakhouse."

Peeve: We didn't have reservations on a Friday night, but we got there a few minutes after they opened. Is there a reason why we still had to wait 15 minutes when half the restaurant was empty? Then when we finally get seated, they put us at a table away from the multiple aquariums they have. The tables right next to the aquariums in our section went empty for an hour and a half before they seated anyone there. Go figure?!?

I came here with my man and a couple of friends for Sunday brunch buffet today.

It cost $20 + a mimosa. I don't like mimosas so I got an iced tea. They charged me $2.25 for the iced tea even though I didn't get a mimosa. I should've gone to McDonald's beforehand for a giant $1 sweet tea.

The interior design was very chunky and dark, kind of like an old viking bar or something. They had a long buffet bar that wrapped through a couple of rooms. The food was good, I really liked the french toast things. The salmon pate was very good too. The lox was kind of too salty. Mussels were okay.

Don't get their fish and chips. There are no chips. And 95% of the fish were in tater tot shapes. Good tarter sauce!

There is also a large array of desserts. I was actually disappointed in the desserts, they were kind of mediocre. I was very excited for the fondue bar but the chocolate and white chocolate were dusty tasting like they just dumped powder and water in there and didn't mix it very well. I tried this custard thing thinking it was creme brulee - it wasn't. It was bitter and sour.

The three guys decided to take on an oyster shot each - bloody mary, vodka and oyster. It looked disgusting. My boyfriend freaked out when the oyster went into his mouth and spit it out, then tried to chew it before he swallowed. His friend thought it was the most awesome shot ever. The other said he would never order it again. That was $6/shot.

The crab legs were a little disappointing. They don't provide crab zippers so have fun stabbing them open with your knife.

Overall a fun experience and neat to try a seafood buffet brunch. Our server was really friendly and funny although I got weird vibes from him (only towards me).

**I saw K.S.'s comment about the women's restrooms smelling nasty but I didn't quite prepare myself enough for the funk. And the sad thing was that I couldn't hold my breath because my nose was runny so I had to blow my nose and breathe in the raunchy sewage.

I don't know what happened. Service was great but the food was just ok. Wanted to celebrate low-key and close-by, and the boy toy has never been so we ended up here.

We ordered the infamous calmari.. and couldn't quite put my finger on it. It was ok. It wasn't the usual, "wow & yum!" 2/5

scallops: 2/5 just not cooked well, no sear, no carmelization, no sweetness, nothing special. Mashed 'taters were great

bbq salmon: 3/5 cooked well & tender, french fries- forgettable

Good wine selection, but I was so disappointed overall. I don't see myself coming back..

After reading all the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. I brought my husband and parents here. We've lived here nearly 30 years and had never tried it out. You can use OpenTable to make your reservations online. All the seats are surrounded by huge aquariums with colorful fish.

I recommend the calamari appetizer. It was delicious. My dad had the catfish and my mom had the mahi mahi. They both enjoyed their meals. My husband had the pasta shrimp and said it was so-so. I had the special of the night, sesame crusted ahi tuna. It was great.

I like the fact that many of the meals come with two sides of your choice. There are many choices of sides, from fries to a dinner salad, to vanilla mashed yams.

Some of the reviews talked about the service but we had great service. We'll be back. No wonder they've been open nearly 30 years.

This place just lost 1 star for dinner service.

We started off with steamed mussels with garlic and lemon sauce. Can't really ruin that.

I ordered the apple hickory smoked salmon which was a little bit overcooked and it was too smokey for my taste. It came with honey mustard sauce and that seemed to mellow out the smokiness. It came with a side of mashed potatoes, coleslaw and i picked the gingered soba noodles as my other side. Everything tasted good but the smokiness overwhelmed the flavor of the other sides. If you like that kind of think then this dish would be awesome for you.
My BF ordered the mesquite grilled Alaskan Halibut and the waiter suggested the New England style sauce to compliment it. The sauce was kind of weird. It was a lemon/butter sauce with capers and lump crab meat. It wasn't bad but it took away from the flavor of the halibut which was undercooked. Its was "mesquite grilled" and i didn't taste any grilling or mesquite on it at all.

The highlight of this dinner was the Vanilla bean Creme Brulee, it was delish!
Happy hour will still be a four stars for me because it's just that good.

Hands down one of the grossest restaurants I've ever eaten at. First trip was during Denver Restaurant week--bad choice! The filet mignon was some other cut, very tough and flavorless. The lobster was overcooked and also flavorless. The key lime pie...well, let's just say that the neon green stripe of goo across the top caused me to not eat it at all.

We complained. To the owner. And she gave us $40 off our next visit.

Trip 2. We think, it must be impossible to screw up fish & chips, so we'll go for those. And the calamari, which is inexplicably legendary. The calamari. Hmm. I don't think it's really calamari. I've never seen calamari in a chicken-finger shape. It didn't taste like calamari, or anything at all for that matter. The dipping sauces were good. The fish and chips were about 90% fried batter and 10% fish. And the batter didn't taste like anything, except maybe fried flour.

I overheard the waitress recommend the barramundi special to a diner. "It doesn't even taste like fish! It's real mild and not fishy at all." That about sums it up. If you don't really like the taste of fish, then you will probably like Fresh Fish Co. If you enjoy seafood without all of its taste cooked/fried/baked out, then you will be sorely, sorely disappointed.

Final Verdict: decent for Denver
Prices: too high if you come from any of the coasts and live for seafood
The Crowd: old white folk
The Good: Lots of aquariums, very cool in that regard. You can also nab a http://restaurant.com certificate. Goes nicely with a cheap movie at the Tiffany.
The Bad: if you are a seafood-eating professional, don't bring your expectations.

We went to Fresh Fish company last night for my boyfriends birthday. It started rocky with our drinks order put in incorrectly. I ordered a strawberry margarita and he ordered a sprite and we received a regular margarita and a coke. They gave us the correct drinks and the margarita was full of ice chunks. I decided to just deal with this and we ordered the Prince Edward Mussels which were very good and they served fresh sourdough bread which was also very good.

For the meal we ordered crab legs, which were fine but fishy, and the fried Lobster tail which I do not recommend. This was an OK meal, but for the price it should have been an extraordinary meal.

The bill had the wrong drinks as well as the right drinks. They corrected it of course, but it was a very long meal. I don't think we will ever return.

I've been going here for years and years. The food is always awesome, wait staff always friendly. You have to go early or have reservations if you hate to wait (and I do!). The Calamari is the BEST I've ever had anywhere.. it's not those little spongy onion ring thingy's you get at most places.. It's as big as chicken fingers and I get 2 coconut curry dipping sauces and skip the plain ole cocktail sauce.

The Mother's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving special brunches they have are WELL worth the money. Fabulous selection and come hungry.

I usually order the fish of the day trio or the cedar planked Salmon and it's always fabulous. The salad's are large as are the large variety of side's you get with the meal.
