food was ok i guess really expensive but its one of those "you HAVE to sit down to eat eher" places so thats expected
waitress walks us to our table and is like "is this perfect for you?" uh itd be better if i wasn't paying $7 for a tiny drink LOL b ut she was a cutie so i accepted it
if you feel like sitting around rude drunk people going on about their religions then sure go to friday's why not but if you wanna eat in a less opressive place just order pizza
When you don't know where to go for dinner, but you know you want to sit down somewhere and be sure to have something tasty - Friday's is always a great choice!
Anything on the Jack Daniels menu is amazing, but I'm partial to the Jack Daniels Salmon dish. So good! Â I've had the soup and salad lunch a few times as well. If you want it for dinner, I believe it's just an extra $2.
The hosts/hostesses are always friendly and work with you for your seating preference. My only reason for a 4-star instead of 5-star rating is because it can be very loud in here at dinner time on weekends. Especially if there are games on. So plan well. Your server will most likely have a hard time hearing your order and bring you the wrong drink if you aren't careful. Which happened to us on our most recent visit. But she made it up to us by replacing the drink very quickly, and comping our appetizer.
Even when it's busy the food generally gets done pretty quickly which is great. And the many times I've gone it doesn't ever come to the table cold like it's been sitting under a half-functioning food warmer as if it was forgotten about and reheated.
If you don't have room for dessert - get it to go! The salted caramel cake is drool-worthy. You will thank me!
So, I go to places like TGI Friday's because I work at night, and I work on computer. Oddly enough, I enjoy being in crowded places for work, as it's a nice change from my home office.
The good: The bartenders are awesome, and they hooked me up with a spot at the bar to work where my laptop could be plugged in (over any of the ice bins, FYI).
The bad: Apparently, a group of the Friday's restaurants were sued because someone got hacked using the free Friday's wi-fi. That's the word from the bartender. So, there's no more free wi-fi at this location. There is at the one down in Short Pump, but nothin'-doin' at this one, and unfortunately, I do a lot of work online, so this really affects my experience.
At 6pm my girlfriend and I called to order curb side for her and I and 3 extra orders, Upon arriving at 6:35 I pulled up and sat for 10 minutes with no assistance I called and let the restaurant know I was at the curb.....I was then asked to come into the store. Â Now here is where the main issue comes into play, all alone with a child in the car I cannot come into the restaurant hence calling in curb side assistance. Â If there were not enough employees to cover this service then when I called, I should have been told this option was not available. Â After that service just went downhill, no cup holders, cold food, missing food, etc, etc....
When calling to speak to the manager, he offered little help and a free dessert was offered on the next visit. Â Such little compensation for a large order is unacceptable, finally after much discontent a small credit was given. Â Still not satisfied with the customer service.
I come to T.G.I. Friday's occasionally .I usually go with the Jack Daniel dishes. The Jack Daniel sauce is pretty good. The sides at T.G.I. Friday's are decent. I usually get the tomato mozzarella salad and the fries. I try to stick to the things I like on the menu. The service is usually average at best. Don't expect superior service from this location. On Friday nights, this location becomes very packed. It's more like a club scene. There's a lot of people and usually a long wait to be seated. The bar is usually packed to capcity. If you do not want a crowded atmosphere, avoid Friday nights.Theres a bar , seating throughout the restaurant, and some patio seating. This location has parking all around the restaurant.
Review Source:Wow.. More like a CLUB than a TGIF! I'm in here on a Monday night watchin the NBA playoff, and at about 9:30 pm the DJ set up and the music is flying!! Straight UNCUT RAP! And it's karaoke night to boot! A fun place to go any day of the week!. The locals say on Friday night there is line out of the door to get in! And the food is good too!I will be back next time in town!
Review Source:So I came here with a friend after a failed attempt at another restaurant that I will review later and this was the last open option. Our server was fine and very polite but the food suck. I understand this is a typical chain restaurant and I typically don't expect much from chains but at least edible food. I ordered the dragon-fire chicken with wild rice and steamed broccoli. The rice was hard, overcooked and no flavor. The broccoli had no flavor, very dry and hard to bite down. The chicken was decent but I guess that is in comparison to the other items thrown on the plate. I've was very disappointed especially because I was starving but needless to say I would never come back here if I'm visiting in town.
Review Source:So Girlfriend and I went here and got the App, Entree, and Desert for 12.99 (apparently the $10 version is only for 3 diff. suck entrees...). Â
Well the apps came out. Â I got the Wontons and the bottoms were incredibly burned and they put that side down so you would not notice. Â GF's (Mozzarella Sticks) app was fine. Â
Now for the entrees, this is where it goes very down from here. Â The GF's entree (Chicken and Cheese dish), was incredibly burned and dried out (they again put the burned side down). Â My entree (Black Angus Flat Iron - Medium Rare) was fully RARE (and you could tell they only cooked it on one side a lot more than the other) and they put some kind of huge chunk of garlic butter on it. Â Waitress came, took them and said they would remake both including sides. Â She also said she would remove the cost of the steak and app.
When the our food finally comes back out after another 15min. My GF's food came out fine just a lil dry (and the darker cooked side down???), but mine was the EXACT SAME steak and sides, with the except of being cooked a lil longer (you do not recook a steak that has been cut in half and had some type of sauce on it, everyone should know this). Â So I sent mine back and said do not remake it.
This time a manager comes out and asks what all was wrong and he said they def. should not of did that but all he did was take off the $12.99 deal and charged us full price for the Mozzarella Sticks which was $8 (should of only been 3 since that was the diff. in cost for $12.99) and we did not even get deserts because they wanted full price for that too!!!!!
Def. a horrible manager. Â Oh and the cook just kept going in and out of the kitchen door to smoke and talk on cell, probably why they food was horrid.
We stayed at the Best Western hotel in the area adjacent to this TGI Friday's outlet. Â As far as I could tell it was identical to every other one. Â It was noisy and raucous on a Friday night, full of twenty-somethings looking for love. Â I had a Cajun shrimp pasta dish and it was spicy and full of shrimp. My partner enjoyed her salmon and shrimp combo. Â We also enjoyed out french fried green beans appetizer.
The prices are moderate. Â
I asked three times if the Guinness was stout rather than that terrible draft- I was assured it was three times and when it came it was draft. Â I should have known better.
There is patio dining which would have been a good choice for us to avoid the beer noise.
