This place is very hit or miss with the food. I find the teriyaki wings to be some of the better wings I've eaten but other apps such as mozzarella sticks leave something to be desired. The French onion soup is decent and pasta is okay when it's cooked correctly. I went recently and they changed the menu and made it smaller. The bartenders on Friday nights are friendly and quick to serve you. It's a decent place to stop in to grab a couple drinks.
Review Source:Went there with a group. Where to start. It's your standard larger sports bar. I counted about 20 TVs. Sadly most of them were of the smaller tube tv type. Time to upgrade!
We had a large party so we had more then one appetizer.
fried calamari, very rubbery, not impressed.
Spinach dip. Watery, but chips were good.
Veggie wedges, very good!! Best part of the meal
I had the "serious" wings. Slightly burnt breaded wings. The serious wings are their "hottest" type. Also not that good. They had some spice, but they were dry, I would not order again. (not that hot)
My son had the kids meal. Pizza and fries. The pizza was two mini slices. And steak fries. Not a bad meal for a kid. My picky son ate it, yea for us!!!
Beer choices were limited to your standard  types. Plus Sam Adams, Guinness, and dogfish head. When I asked what type the waitress said "dogfish.....60.....something" really? You work at a bar and you don't know what an IPA is????? Anyway I had that, good beer of course.
Local radio station was there, we won free tickets to a concert. And they gave away an iPad ( I wanted that!!)
Overall I had a good time. I would go back, if I lived closer. Just to try out some more items on the menu. But my meal was not the greatest.
If I lived in the area, I would go here for Sunday football. I am sure the beer is cheap, and the food greasy, just what you want on a Sunday afternoon.
Went here with family recently. Â For a party of five with beers, hot sandwiches, desserts and coffee it was only $90. Â Perhaps the waitress didn't bill all of it. Â Everyone thought the burgers, rib eyes, etc. were very good. Â I thought the TVs were a little outdated for a sports bar.
Review Source:We went here for football sunday and was VERY disappointed. The food is tasteless. We had wings with mild sauce and it tasted so bland. We had the crab dip, it was little pieces of crab with tons of cheese and it had no flavor. We were still hungry because we did not finish the apps so i ordered a ceasar salad with chicken. OMG how can a ceasar salad be so bland! it had about 1 cup of dressing too so it was soggy! My husbands mozzerella sticks were ok, how can you go wrong with that i guess.
We had just finished our second pitcher of beer and told the waitress we didnt need another one right now and she brought us our check. The game was not even done yet! The check comes and there is a 18% gratuity added already to the check! for bad service? it was just the two of us!
The place is shady, service is eh, the food is horrible. The tv screens have bad picture.. i dont know why people go to this place for sporting events. save your money! Any good reviews you read on this place are from people who go there (with their children) and with their loud obnoxious groups and drink themselves silly. Food tastes good when your drunk right?!
I totally dig Gabrieles. Yes the decor is rather dated and it a local watering hole but I like the food and the weekend bartenders are really fun and on point. I only go on friday nights because I like the DJ a lot of throwback hip hop and I really enjoy that. Outside has a really nice tiki bar and a good sized one at that. You should ask the bartender Cara to do her shot dance it's really cute. My suggestion is if you live close take a cab, get really drunk and then take a cab home. I never drive there because I always get wasted and so do all my friends. It's a lil more laid back kind of place and it's fun to go there for a change during the summer. def check it out.
Review Source:Is this New Jersey or Scranton PA? This place reminds me of the places my family stopped at on our way to the Pocono's. Wood paneling on every surface!
The decor is terrible between the wood and the 20+ TV's from 1992 but the food and service were good.
My friend and I ordered burgers which were tasty and cooked to perfection.
Our waiter Garret was not only handsome but attentive, my drink was never empty.
I've been to Gabriele's a number of times. I'll start off with the service which is very good. Both the bartenders and servers are very attentive. I saw some bad reviews about them on here, but I just haven't had the same experiences. Food always comes out very fast and more importantly the drinks come out very fast. The food here can definitely be hit or miss depending on what you get. Stick with a sandwich or wrap. They are always good and you should always pay the extra dollar for the waffle fries. That's just a no brainer. The wings and pizza I would stay away from. You would thing that would be good at place like this, but sadly it's not. Finally the decor here is very good. It's a sports bar and there is a lot to do. Pool, air hockey, fuzz ball, and darts. Plus a ton of TVs which they just upgraded. Looking forward to checking out the new outdoor area over the summer.
Review Source:I came here because I bought a promo coupon to use for the whole year at Gabriele's. This is my first time being at this place. When you walk inside, it's a classic sports and restaurant bar. There are two bars left and right and the restaurant is right in the middle. Each side there are air hockey tables and arcade games. There are about 20+ TV screens around to watch some games. Each TV screen is old school; at least the place should display flat screen HDTVs. There is a tiki bar outside, which seems nice once the weather gets warmer.
Me and my girlfriend ordered the Tuscany Combo Appetizer, which consist of Mozzarella Sticks, Onion Rings, Chicken Tenders, Buffalo Shrimp, and breaded Calamari. Served with Marinara and Honey Mustard Sauce. Each taste good except the Onion Rings and Chicken Tenders. The Onion RIngs were thin and Chicken Tenders was dry.
The entree we ordered were the Porterhouse Steak medium well with sweet potatoes and Fillet Mignon Duo. Each entree taste delicious.
The only negative about our visit was that the staff messed up on our appetizer. One of their food distributors gave us the wrong appetizer. But they later appologized.
I would recommend someone to go and eat at Gabriele's. Their bar looks good. I'll go back to try some other food, hangout at the tiki bar, and play Air Hockey. The place is easy to locate. Gabriele's is located in front of the Motel 6!
Before Gabriele's opened here, the location was home to a place called Bazooka's, which was a Hooter's knock-off, except the girl wait staff served you while skating around on rubber wheeled roller skates.
Well, the wheels are gone, (and maybe the ladies aren't quite as hot) but the hardwood floors remain and the menu has gotten better.
Gabrielle's serves your traditional Buffalo wings and draft beers, but also ventures past the "everything fried" menu of ghosts past.
Daily food and drink specials are posted-with some on a recurrent basis. There are "All You Can Eat" buffalo wing nights and also AYCE barbeque rib nights. The bar area has a bunch of flat screen TVs which (recently) had the Winter Olympics, NASCAR racing and a golf tournament on. They also advertise coupon specials in a few of the local small business papers-I clipped a "Buy 20 Wings-Get 10 Free" coupon recently and split a heaping plate of meaty hot wings with a buddy. Ample blue or ranch dressings (if requested) comes free, along with celery and carrot sticks-which is a nice change from joints that charge extra for these winger necessities.
The crowd is varied, and sometimes clique-ish with the "friendly enough" bartenders, but everyone seems to be having a good time. One negative-At the bar, I prefer to work on a cash-as-you-go basis, rather a tab. I've had situations where sometimes drinks may appear that you had separately paid for, or are entered incorrectly on your tab.
There is a large dining room with plenty of seating. I've only been here on weekend afternoons, but each time business seems to be brisk, so they must be doing something right.
A good place to drop in for a pit-stop.
Great Sports Bar and Family Restaurant.
Yep you read that right. Â Sports Bar AND Family Restaurant
Whether you're bringing the family out for reasonably priced, generously portioned home cooked eats.
Yes you read that right too. Â They don't microwave pre-portioned meals like the 3 major chain restaurants, all within a good football kicker's distance...
Or whether you're going out for guys night, girls night, couple night at the bar...
Gabriele's delivers satisfaction.
Standard Beers, plus New Castle, Guinness, and Yeungling (becoming more of a standard thanks NJ drinkers)
Great Wings, Nachos, and Interesting Bar Food creations - Try The Bacon Wrapped Scallops over a Mango Chutney and Greens. Â Not your typical bar food.
Happy hour doesn't get any happier in the local area, with buck and a half beers, cheap pizza slices and cheap cheap wings.
Cheap on Price Not On Taste!
Five Dollar Kids meals include a drink and dessert and again are home cooked not the processed junk you get at the local chain choices.
Countless people have told me that they wish someone had told them long ago about this place.
there... you've been told - now go get some good eats!
This place is alright for a local bar that's 3 minutes from my house. Â It's just a sports bar that gets a pretty diverse crowd. Â I like that it's different from the college scene in New Brunswick. Â Don't go here expecting much other than your average beers on tap and friendly-enough wait staff. Â The bar area is pretty large and the dining area is large as well.
Review Source:I lived in Piscataway NJ for 4 years and drove past this place without ever even contemplating trying it out. It seemed too insignificant wedged between a dunkin donuts and a mall...
I am glad i stumbled upon it, because i must say that besides the plethora of places in nearby New Brunswick this place is actually a decent spot to grab some quality bar food and enjoy a drink or two while you catch a game. They have a huge space and when you get bored of oogling the TV, you can actually be active and play pool/darts.
