State Theatre

Really nice theatre and close parking in muni lots for a small price. Saw Hot Tuna and special guest Lean Russel there last night, 7/20/13, and the sound was TERRIBLE!!!   Very muddy is what we would describe it as. Soooooooooooooo disappointed.  Love LOVE LOVE Tuna and a fan of Lean but the sound crapped up the whole show.  I don't think I'll go there again.

Really nice intimate theater setting right in New Brunswick.

Saw the Summerland 2013 Tour here. The sound was great.  Sponge, Filter, Live and Everclear were all in attendance.  The switch between each band was handled rapidly.  The bartenders did a good job of getting people drinks fast and friendly.  The seating was great.  Awesome sight lines, didn't look like a bad seat in the house.

If you are in NYC it is a pretty quick and easy trek on NJ Transit.  There are plenty of places to eat and drink before a show.  There is also plenty of parking.  The theater itself is a bit of a walk from the station, but not far at all.  Easily a place to see something.

I've been coming here more often because of the Groupons for Symphony's/Orchestras. It's a pretty nice place. I don't think there is really a BAD seat in the place being it's so small. The sound has been amazing for all the performances I've been to. I also saw Joe Rogan here and It was fine. I could see him on stage and could heard him clear as day.
$7 Beers! Coors Light $7.... Yuengling $7......you see where this is going. I have no clue how much mixed drinks are but I'll bet it's more than $7.
