V Lounge

We used to come here all the time when it was Verdigre and decided to check out the new V-Lounge that recently opened. We were nervous and rightfully so. Their ad said no cover til 10:30 and showing up at 10:15pm were told we needed to pay $5. After a bit of complaining, they gave us our money back. A few friends came in later, and were told only ladies were free until 10:30 (get your story straight and advertisements right). The staff was not friendly and sometimes rude. A mop was slammed into my leg rather than the guy excusing himself from trying to clean up after someone's spilled drink. And speaking of drinks... the old Verdigre served your drinks in nice, tall glasses which is appropriate at a "classier" venue in NB. Now you pay $7 for a drink that I can only compare to the free drinks you get in AC... in tiny, chintzy plastic cups. The outdoor smoking area and heat lamps are gone, the door staff was rude and confused when we tried to renter from taking a break outside. I wouldn't plan on going back here.

Agree with the 1/3 review. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Big turnoff getting charged $5 cover when arriving at 10:15, despite flyer clearly stating "NO COVER TILL 10:30". DJ was horrible; try this: put a monkey, a record player, and my mom's old LP collection in a room, whatever sound comes out of that combination would have been better than what I had to listen to last night.

If you are deciding where to have your next birthday party, event or just looking for a fun night out, do not go to V Lounge!  Save your time, money and night.  My friends and I had a horrible experience.  They are rude and very unprofessional.  Apparently once they have your money, they don't believe in providing good customer service.  You will have a better experience at any of the other nice establishments in New Brunswick with courteous and friendly staff.
