Great neighborhood bar and hide out spot. Â They always have great drink specials and I have never had a bad meal there. Â The pretzels come out hot and are available with a beer cheese dip that is made in house. Â On Wednesday you have your choice of 3 steak specials (filet, top sirloin or ribeye), the Ribeye is my favorite. Â They have a HUGE breaded tenderloin that looks amazing. Â If you get a chance check them out and thank me later
Review Source:a somewhat strange layout...after walking past the smokers and into the bar, you immediately enter a larger multipurpose area with no direct site of the bar. Â if you turn to the right, the bar is set off the main room in a narrow rectangle. Â the bar itself is in the shape of a backwards "J" with 15 or so stools. Â mirrors around the lower portion of the "J". Â the other room has lower eating tables & booths. Â pool tables towards the back (south) wall.
as with most other neighborhood bars, guessing most everyone in the place has been there before, they're very comfortable. Â mostly middle aged with a couple older & younger mixed in. Â aside from those at the bar, there seems to be a lot of movement, maybe it's people back & forth to the bar, familiarity, or the games in the back. Â rock music over the speakers, but it's a juke box, so it changes to the desires of the other patrons. Â food is mostly average. Â strong drinks.
steel pipe for a footrest. Â wooden/laminate bar with a good, large wooden rail that is a perfect place to rest elbows. Â bar overhang has cabinets for the bartenders and provides some cover. Â mirrors & beer posters behind the hook in the "J", but otherwise the bar back is shelves with liquor bottles and a single, somewhat outdated TV. Â Metal padded stool with no back support, many wobbly. Â Floors are a worn, red painted concrete.
in the end, a decent place to grab a beer if in the area, but not a destination.
We love GGs! Â
The drinks are cheap. Â We like the bar better since it's more recent remodel.
It can be VERY smoky. Â
Karaoke is fun, but sometimes you might want to bring ear plugs because it can be really loud (compared to other bars).
Our favorite thing here, besides that awesome drink deals is the pizza. Â The thin crust is awesome and always fresh. Â I've ordered other things off the menu and really like it, but the pizza is honestly the best. Â I give the pizza 6/5 stars :)
