(This is in the food court inside Castleton Square mall.)
One bad thing about these chain places is that the employees don't have much of a buy-in like an owner/operator. So I didn't bother to complain to the counter staff. Â But I suppose I should have.
One good thing about national chains is that there is usually a feedback page on their corporate web site where you can tell them what happened. So that's what I did.
This is in the food court at Castleton Square Mall. Â If you want to park near here, drive to the North side of the mall, and the food court entrance (from outside) is in between Dick's and Macy's. Â You can't miss their big signs.
It's kind of like Panda Express. They serve you out of steam trays with pre-prepared food.
The chicken dishes (mushroom chicken and kung po chicken) were good. But the fried rice was bad, and the Diet Coke was skanky.
The rice was hard, like it was undercooked or dried out. Â
The fountain service Diet Coke was bad, either expired, or some kind of contamination got in the lines or in the ice.
The rice and/or the Diet Coke actually gave me a tummy ache about 15 minutes later.
I'm probably being a little generous with 2 stars. The second star was because the chicken was good.
Yes, I probably will go back in a month or so, because I'm a sucker for Chinese food. Â Maybe they'll send me a coupon since I sent feedback to corporate.
Maybe I'll try the noodles, and avoid the Diet Coke. But ya know, if a Chinese place can't get the rice half decent, it's not worth it.
