I love this place. I live behind it at the Wimbledon and I gotta tell you, it's a short 3 minute walk to one of the best IPA's i've had in a while. I had no idea this bar exsisted, since it's got some very tight hours (only open until 9PM) but besides that, it's a great bar! I don't mind the place not having food either, b/c you can walk about 150 FT to a Mexican Food truck that has great priced food. I wish I knew about this place earlier. It's my current favorite place in SE PDX. Although, I'm not sure I'll love it as much when the winter is back - the inside is very limited and the outside isn't covered enough for rainy days. Still has my five stars though!

This place is awesome, and I wish it had opened three years earlier when I first started at Reed, back when I had to trudge all the way down to Clinton Street for some decent brews. Reasons why it's good:
    1) The beer. Is. Great.
    2) They stay open late for timbers games.
    3) The service is friendly.
    4) You can pay with square on your phone!
    5) Great patio when it is nice outside.

I am not taking any stars off, but here are the downsides:
    1) It's a tasting room, not a bar, so it closes by 9PM. That's the OLCC's fault, though, not Gigantic's.
    2) The patio isn't covered, so it is only usable on non-rainy days. And it's small inside.
    3) No food - this is once again because they are a tasting room, not a bar, but still can suck.

Saturdays they open 2-9pm, so when we rolled up and saw the street was empty, we were a little concerned.  then i noticed we were 15min early!  so it all worked out.  ample tables n benches adorn the front entry to this place, and bc it was one of those rare PDX days in march where it was 75F, we took full advantage of the seating.   if the weather isn't cooperating, there's a bit of seating indoors too.

they don't do half pints/glasses, only pints or tasters (or growlers!) of the beers on draft... we all tried different things.  i checked out the Time Traveler Porter.  it was delicious!!  the fiance had their Kiss The Goat which is a black bock; also enjoyable.  btw when the MLS Portland Timbers play, this place fills up.  Who knew there were so many soccer fans!?

not much around this place as far as grub...around the block is a mexican food truck but that's about it.  this place has two bathrooms, both are very nice, plus some merch for sale.  also a large variety of their 22's available.  looking over their beer listing, it looks like they have a solid assortment of beer varietals and different seasonals, very exciting.  fun beer spot for sure!
