Gina's Subs & Pizza

Went here because we had a coupon. I walked in and stood there about 3 minutes before the woman got up from whatever she was doing to help me. The menu was hard to read because of the layout of the ordering area. Ordered 2 roast beef sandwiches. They were good, but not great. A little better than Jimmy Johns but nothing exceptional about this place. If we're hungry and in the area we might stop back here but it's not a definite drop in the bucket.

A co-worker recommended Gina's, and I finally went for lunch. Despite being noon on a weekday, I was the only customer.

The menu board was a little hard to read, and the choices seemed overwhelming.

I settled on a 6" turkey sandwich on foccaccia bread, and a small side of pasta salad. I was a bit surprised that my lunch cost $11! I didn't even get a drink!

The woman who rang up my order seemed unfriendly. It was obvious it was my first time there, and she didn't bother to give any suggestions, she just stood looking annoyed at me (although there was NOBODY behind me in line, and I was trying to be friendly and place my order quickly).

A man made my sandwich and it was a very good sandwich! The foccaccia bread is what really made it sing. The pasta salad was ho-hum. Tasted like something at an office potluck. The food portions were much larger than I expected, hence the steep price tag. I'd rather have half the portion and half the price. At any rate, I needed to take half my sandwich home and needed something to put it in (foil, bag, etc.). I walked up to the counter and the woman who originally rang me up was the only employee in sight (the guy had retreated to the back). She was sitting on a chair reading a book and looked up and saw me, and blatantly ignored me! I was stunned. I stood at the counter staring at her, watching her read. After I got over my shock about her behavior I was about to clear my throat and address her, but a guy finally came from the back and I asked him for a piece of foil so that I could wrap my sandwich to-go.

The whole time I was there (approx. 30 minutes), I only saw 3 other customers and each time one walked in the woman looked annoyed to get up from her book.

While the sandwich was quite good, the overall price for lunch combined with the employee's behavior, will most likely prevent me from going back.

It is a shame because I like to support small businesses.
