Gold Room

I love this place, I have never had a bad night here! $4 for a shot of tequila and a beer plus you can get free tacos! Cool crowd, loud music and the Marlboro cig man shows up a lot hooks you with $1 cigs and free shit. Divey and small but I'm always down to go any day of the week.

Gold Room how do I love thee.... This place is a small hole in the wall but a total gem. It's always a diverse crowd and an eclectic mix of music from the juke box but it seems to work out perfectly and adds to the charm of the place. Definitely the place to go for drinks if your on a budget!! $4 gets u a beer with a tequila shot. Free tacos and roasted peanuts.Mixed drinks are cheap too if your not into beer and on average my tab is under $20 for the night. One of my favorite bars just cause it's low key and cheap.

$4 for a beer and a shot of tequila. What more do I need to say? Well ok... Plus you get free peanuts. The service was great and the staff was friendly.

I only negative (and I actually didn't mind all that much) was the size of the place. Gold Room is popular so after 9:00pm it gets packed. The place is very small so it eventually becomes standing room only.

Luckily my friends and I were there early enough to get bar stools.

For me, I think this place would be an awesome after work weekday bar stop. Get in before the crowd, get a buzz with cheap drinks, then get out once the regular night crowd starts to fill in.

They do a $10 minimum on a credit card tab which is fine. Spending over $10 is definitely going to happen. Plus they have 2 or 3 Bank of America ATMs right next to the entrance. Convenient!!

I definitely recommend going to Gold Room in Echo Park.
