We dine in the area all the time and this was by far the worst experience ever. Slow and I mean slow service and I am patient believe me. My food was cold, my vegetables had dirt still on them. Funny thing there was a table right next to me had the same thing happen and the waitress started to argue !
Review Source:Updating from a previous review, my wife and I had our wedding and reception at The Golden Pheasant about a week ago, and thanks to Brittany, Sally, and the rest of the staff at the inn, everything went amazingly well. For a party of 110-115, the Inn was just about the right size, and the guests are still commenting on the quality of the food and service.
Setting up the particulars for the wedding reception, the management and staff worked dynamically with us to ensure that all the guests were comfortable, and that other vendors had easy access. Brittany was also very helpful in suggesting some local vendors for a wedding cake and rental equipment.
All in all this is a great location to hold a private party, wedding reception or otherwise. The inn and it's surroundings are beautiful and charming in their own right, meaning minimal decoration was required. That, and the quality and selection of food, expert service, and access to a full bar with a skilled bartender put the Pheasant on a different level than more traditional party venues or banquet halls.
