    I once thought this former-Sheraton bar was a fancy sophisticated place -- when I was in college and tired of the local dive pubs.  It looks much smaller to me now, but it has been redesigned, and the bar staff are not only model-beautiful but very sweet too.  There is a lecture series here, which is why we went, not a bad place for it.

    The chef's son is vegan, so they were familiar with the word and made my husband a polenta and veggie dish (squash, asparagus, mushrooms, eggplant) that was creamy and good, but not cheap.  Hey, at least it wasn't pasta or grilled vegetables.  It was huge too; we got two more meals out of it by adding in a few more vegetables once we got home.  

    Wines by the glass are Corbett Canyon, yawn.  Our bill for one entree, a side of fries, and 2 glasses of wine: $34, yikes!  

    The bar is comfy with an unusual shape, and you can see local business people who are staying in the hotel (now painted a strange Chi-Chi's style combo of bright orange and yellow) hanging around.

    What used to be the regular restaurant is now a conference room called the Wine Room, and the open area beyond that is their steakhouse restaurant called Prime.  A comedy club used to be here, but there is no sign of it now.  The pool in the lower level seems to be another incarnation of Good Nites on the weekends in warm weather.
