I had my friend's 30th birthday party here and we had a great experience. Â The staff member I talked with on the phone to plan the party was friendly and helpful. Â They let us come in early in the evening to decorate and drop off a cake. Booking a party is great because you don't have to pay a cover or wait in line. We just bought a few bottles of booze for our party and we were good. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. The larger dance floor room played some techno-remixed stuff, and we danced in there for a while and had a blast. Until we were told the other room was playing 90s hip hop and quickly went back in there to end our night. Thanks GRAND, for an awesome evening for my friend!
Review Source:This is place is cool for one thing only, the decor and dress code. It's in an odd location and misses the mark on nightlife. Â They have18+ nights now filled with Mac Miller wannabees and girls living vicariously through the train wreck version of Lindsay Lohan. If you like annoying drunk chicks under 21 who got either high or drunk off Twisted Tea before showing up this is the place for you.
Manchester dance clubs pull out a really shady crowd who thinks a basement with a disco ball and lights would be just as entertaining. Â This place is pretty much Realm with a dresscode. Â We seriously need to get back to he days of Charlie Peppers, Industry and Pyramid when the nightlife was great!
They didn't take credit cards at the bar when I was there but rather swiped your card at a cashier's station and gave you cash. WTF? Â Sounds damn shady and silly if you ask me. Â
I'd avoid this place unless you're extremely intoxicated and don't know better.
I've never been a club goer, so I don't have much basis for comparison. Â I really enjoyed myself here. Â My girlfriend and I were in need of a night out, so we figured we'd try this place. Â
We arrived a little before 9. Â There was maybe about 15 people there at that time, but they still had good music playing (top 40 stuff to set the mood). Â The bartenders were very attentive and friendly. Â They have one pool table in the corner (no charge to play). Â Lots of comfortable seating options. Â Around 10, they open up another section with another bar. Â There, they started playing the heavy techno remixed stuff. Â By 11, it gets pretty packed in there if you're not on the edge of the dancefloor, but you can always escape to the first room which maintained a more "chill" mood.
Overall, I enjoyed it and would definitely go back.
