When Wa Toy in Goffstown doesn't have karaoke, this is the place to go. They have food, drinks, pool, and karaoke almost every night (I think), all typical of your Chinese restaurant. I've had mixed experiences, but not so bad as to turn me away forever. And they serve their scorpion bowl in a beer pitcher, with the 151 going right in it. Only drawback is that I've discovered this is where all the bros of Manchester come to hang. While they may be fun to watch, their drunk singing can get a little old fast.
Review Source:This place is a blast they have something for everyone.
Poker, Karaoke, great food and people watching...
The food is amazing...best Chicken and Beef terriyaki and the drinks are bar far the best in NH...They have scorpion bowls in pitchers to share and so many beer choices. I heard they are bringing back Trivia and will be starting Open Mic night, oh and they have pool tables too...Just a great place all around, I highly recommend it.
It looks like there are two categories of people who go to the Yee. Those who go for drinking and entertainment and those who go for the food (that's me). In the past 25 years, I've been to dozens of Chinese restaurants in Manchester, Derry, Goffstown, and Merrimac. Most have been OK overall with their good points and bad points.
The Yee Dynasty has been consistently good on most items over the years. Their egg rolls are the best I have had. The chicken fingers (cooked right, not too much batter), chicken and beef teriyaki, kung pao chicken, General Gao's chicken, beef and peppers, and fried rice are all very good. Their chow mein and boneless ribs are OK and not as good as some other places (Jade Dragon and Aloha have better chow mein).
I usually go for the luncheon buffet because it's less crowded, the service is excellent and atmosphere more relaxing. I have gone several times on a Saturday night and didn't like it. It was noisey, service was slower and not as attentive, and there was a more hectic atmosphere. A few times there have been screaming kids, running around out of control, but I see that in other places on Saturday nights as well.
Go to the Friday or Saturday luncheon buffet (more selection on those days) and you can't go wrong.
