The Green Frog is hands down the best bar in Highland. Â I always feel welcome and safe. Â The Karaoke is so much fun and the live bands rock. Â Over the last year, I've I had a steak dinner and a couple tacos ... very tasty! Â The bartenders are sweet, professional and good looking~ which is always nice. Â Even the owners make you feel welcome and at ease. Â Overall, I love this place.
Review Source:Went to the GF a few Wed ago. Went with two of my BFF'S. May I say we had a blast!! Place was not overcrowded. People playing pool and others just enjoying themselves. We ordered some munchies and they hit the spot. The topper of the evening was Madonna the waitress. We had a great time with her. We shared drinks and a lot of laughs. We will go back next Wed or Sunday since those are the days she works. A great little local hang out that we are very glad we found. Thanks Madonna for a great evening!
Review Source:I just recently started coming here because it is less then 3 miles from where I live. Every experience here so far has been pleasent, although the last time I came my ATM card didnt work even though I had plenty of cash in my account...It turns out that my mortgage payment was being taken out at the same time I was trying to pay my tab. IRONIC you say? Indeed it was, I felt like a jack ass that my card got denied, luckily I had my buddy to pick up the slack for me....But, we ended up going to another bar where my card did work about 20 mins later...That was strange, but it wont stop me from hitting the Frog again, it's a pretty fun Karaoke bar...
Review Source:I like to stop in here once in a while and have a drink or two. It's definitely a place for younger people with the games setup. Not a big fan of karaoke nights, but the live bands there are pretty awesome and drink prices are decent. Rusty, the owner, is a good man who makes you feel welcome and is definitely appreciative of repeat customers. Bar staff is pretty cool with the exception of one female bartender whose name I won't mention on here. Anyways, I like this place as a local hangout once in a while and will be back again.
Review Source:This place can be a hit and miss, i would recommend going early 5-7, playing shuffle board , have a drink or two and be on your way. This is usually the last stop to make on any given Friday/ Saturday. In the city of Highland, most bars have to close at 11 or 12, so this is where the crowd goes because they are open until 2. So be prepared for a sometimes loud and rowdy crowd or over crowd, can be fun if thats your cup of tea. Enjoy. :)
2 pool tables
2 dart boards
Large shuffle board
$10 pitcher of beer, $15 buckets of beer
Love the Karaoke here. They have good singers all the time. Friendly staff. Drinks are a good price. Not sure if they have specials on drinks or not.. It's a big enough place to meet a different variety of people. They have a stage and dart boards. So bring your own darts if you want.
Review Source:Been here a couple times...a lil hard to find the first time around...workers there are super friendly and make stiff drinks. Â Theres karaoke at night time if you wanna goof around as well as pool tables. Â Prices are drinks are reasonable...will def come here again...def recommend trying out
Review Source:GF used to be located on Base Line, just west of Palm, in a dying strip mall so badly in need of a facelift the city was ready to pay for it. Â Recently they moved to a newer strip mall, where the chamber of commerce used to be located, about a mile south on Palm. Â It now has double the space it had before however still seems to attract the same beer bar bunch of knuckleheads. Â On a few recent Friday nights there's been a live band that wasn't bad but most nights it's God-awful karaoke. Â Surprised the cops aren't their regularly to check out complaints of them running an unlicensed meatpacking plant, the way songs get butchered. Â A tall female bartender used to charge me an extra buck for drafts until her male counterpart and I caught her. Â Place has great potential, with a terrific new mom-and-pop Thai restaurant a couple doors away, but until they manage to get rid of the gang banger wannabes and their tramp-stamp hoes as customers I think I'll keep my distance.
UPDATE: Â Gave this establishment another try on Super Bowl Sunday. Â Sign on the door stated, "Absolutely No Outside Food." Â So I figure they want everyone on a liquid diet for the game. Â Hey, no sweat. Â Turns out they were serving their own fare, burgers, tacos and a few other items. Â The cheeseburger I ordered with fries wasn't anything special but for $4.50 what do you expect. Â It was nice the grillman brought out a pickle spear he neglected to include in the basket when my burger was served. Â Two girls, dressed in tight black skirts and tank tops, showed up early in the 3rd quarter to promote Horitos tequila. Â Nice distraction. Â Everything going fine until the tall woman who used to overcharge me for drafts came on duty, threw an insult my way that was both personal and sexual. Â Good help is so hard to find. Â I'm writin' this joint off once and for all.
I went out for a night of bar hopping for a friend's birthday. Dive bars are where its at. Its a small bar, holds about 50 or so. You'll see lots of middle aged women out with their girl friends, but everyone is having a blast... they even allow smoking in the bar. This place has karaoke.. and it doesnt really matter if you can barely carry a tune. Everyone is having a good time and you'll still get the cheers you didnt deserve (spoken from experience).
