I saw this place out of the corner of my eye when my taxi had to take a detour after the trains were stuck on the tracks this morning. I figured it was only two blocks away from work so I might as well try it.
The joint is rather small with only about 10 stools and a food bar (no tables). We got there about 11:40 AM and it was dead. Fifteen minutes later there was barely any standing room and people were lined up to the door.
As for the food, there is obviously a reason to come here. The food is great. I ordered a Gyro Burrito and it was almost perfect. I had to scrape a couple onions out of it, but their meat and tzatziki sauce were excellent. The fries kind of reminded me of a cross between Five Guys and Al's Beef. They were cooked just right and not too salty or soggy, but just enough grease on them to keep you grabbing for a napkin.
The food ispriced right and it's Veinne Beef. What more could you ask for?
I'll definitely have to swing back here on my next cheat day. They've got a sandwich called the Chicagoan that is calling my name.
