Half Penny Pub

Very random place. We have been here several times, as it is walking distance from our apartment. Sometimes it is a pretty chill bar, low key friendly bartenders, other times it's an all out weird fest. Strange, grimy, very young people with a slow bartender. They always seem to only have one bartender on duty, even during super busy times. If you go for earlier evening, or on a weeknight though it's a pretty decent bar.

Great hang out! Lots of selection on tap, friendly & knowledgeable barkeeps, room to breathe (though I'm sure it could get crowded, it wasn't too bad on a Sat night with no notable sports going on). $5 a drink, but they have specials throughout the week. Going back? Yes.

Kind of a weird bar, but probably a good time if you bring a lot of friends with you. Went here for a birthday last night (it was Christmas in July, which was cute) and the bar was oddly empty. Maybe it gets more crowded after 11pm? Either way, decent prices, nice staff, and did get a buyback. Take note: This place is cash only, as pointed out by the bartender when I tried to hand him a credit card. There's an ATM there for you. Parking is OK, but limited, and there's a Friendly's next door if you have an ice cream craving.
