Happy House Pizza Chicken and Beef

This was my first time visiting Happy House as I am new to the West River area.  The place is a classic little dive which is perfect for me.  I ordered two pizzas for take-out.  The price was right; so far so good.  As I was waiting, the owner came over, said "Hey, you're new here" and sat down for a chat..  Old school fellowship.  Very nice guy.

The pizzas were quite tasty with a chewy crust - a little thicker than I was hoping for but my wife loved it.  It might be the type of place where he'll make a thinner crust upon request - I'll give it a try next time.

I will definitely go back for the pizza and eventually try the other menu items.  Only 3 solid stars for now since I've only been once.  Updates to follow.

We got a bit lost trying to find this place (both Yahoo and Google maps have it wrong -- it is in a little strip mall between Deale Beach Rd. and Broadwater Road.  It is shown on Google Maps, but the address maps incorrectly).  Anyway, we rolled up right when they closed, as the owner was locking the front door.  He saw our sad faces and told us that he could still make something as long as it wasn't grilled.  We ended up with a delicious pizza and were very grateful that he didn't send us away hungry.  Bottom line: tasty food and a really great owner.
