Terrible food. Great view. Friendly service. Â The fried shrimp consisted of heavily breaded popcorn shrimp sliced in half to mimic butterfly shrimp. I had no idea a popcorn shrimp could be butterflied and the manufacturers ability to mold the breading into a large 2" diameter circle defies physics. Â The shrimp was dry, stringy and probably ruined by frostburn - before it had even been breaded. The breading wasn't edible. I regret eating the three that I dissected and ate. Â The green beans tasted awful. I've had less worse food in a bad school cafeteria. The French Fries were good. The cream of crab soup looked odd but tasted neither good nor bad. The crab cakes were made from a variety of different types of crab meat - not lump - and was tasteless. The coleslaw wasn't any good. The hamburger wasn't good either.
The restaurant has a nice deck with picnic tables and you can enjoy watching the Wednesday night sailboat races.
It's a shame the food is so abominable with such a relaxing location and friendly service.
3 stars is about right for this spot. Â The food, drinks and service are about average. Â The only reason this place is doable is that the location is out of this world, every seat is a great seat with water view. Â I have been here multiple times and the only thing I had that was better than average was the softshell crab sandwich.
