Harvest

Let me start off by saying that the food here is wonderful.  If the love of food is all you care about then you need to stop in here if you're in the area or traveling on Hwy 85.  If you care about service then maybe you should prepare yourself first before you step in the front door the first time.  Please be prepared to be ignored by the young girl at the counter for about the first 10 minutes.  We waited quietly to be seated and all she did was sit there are stare at us the whole time.  Come to find out they don't have a wait staff.  WTF!!!  You order at the counter, pay, get your glass and then it's all up to you from there.

So we finally figured it all out without any help from the young girl and go over to make our drinks.  The tea was out so of course we look back at the young girl for help.  She gave us a look that said "so what, pick something else to drink."  

At this point there were several employees just standing around chatting so I spoke up and complained to all of them about how poor the service was.  This caused one young man working here to take notice and take care of us the rest of our visit.  He was great after that so we left him a generous tip.  

So, after all that, please do try them out for the food.  As for the restaurant owner, stop wasting your money on paying your employees without the opportunity for them to earn tips.  Hire a wait staff so your patrons can enjoy the whole experience of your restaurant.

We live in the Oxford area...with that said, I was GREATLY disappointed!!! We arrived at 11:10 (they open at 11:00) the doors were still locked, the girl working unlocked the door but said nothing to us that they were ready for service. We entered the restaurant, no greeting.. she stood behind the counter drinker her glass of water while we tried to order. It seemed that everyone working in the restaurant seemed so unhappy...not one smile!! As far as the food..it was very good. But not the way to keep locals coming back!

Great food, great service!  Nice to have a place serving real food from locally sourced ingredients here in Oxford, NC!
