We've eaten at Hearsay a few times and came to see some live entertainment once. The atmosphere is inviting, and it seems like a good place to hang out on a weekend. The food is okay, nothing special, but they have some good sandwiches and it's not a bad spot to pop in for lunch once in a while. This is definitely a beer and liquor place, though. I wouldn't advise ordering wine with your dinner or otherwise. Stick to simple mixed drinks and straightforward beers and you should have yourself a good time.
Review Source:I'm a regular at lunch time- the food is AWSOME- the best lobster bisque I've ever had. This is the kind of bar and restaurant that really does have the "Cheers" affect. Everybody really does know your name. The service is great. I love the staff. It's been the same team working there as long as I can remember. I would definitely recommend this place. It's very easy to become a regular!
Review Source:We have eaten at the Hearsay three times - first was sandwiches which were OK, second was fish 'n' chips and lobster bisque which were great, but the third time was definitely not the charm. It was "all you can eat ribs night", and we got there around 6:30 pm. Â The waitstaff was distant to non-existent - the lobster bisque didn't arrive after 25 minutes - when asked about the status, the waitress said that it is warmed to order - but 25 minutes? NOT! It came shortly thereafter. She blamed the kitchen staff. Â The ribs were just OK and the waitress didn't return fast enough to replenish the all-you-can-eat promise. We only had one serving of ribs because we had to get to another appointment at 8:00. Â Arriving at 6:30 should have left enough time to get lobster bisque (within 10 minutes of arrival) and a couple of helpings of ribs. Â Won't go ever again!
Review Source:If you remember the old Huey's then you'll enjoy the Hearsay since they obviously remember the recipes. Â
If you're a vampire then avoid this place at all costs... the garlic is delicious and powerful enough to get someones attention long after you've long after you've left. Â
Be sure to share a love salad if you plan on talking to anyone after dinner.
Nothing truly fancy about the Hearsay but it's good food at a good price.
Wow...first off, food was served piping hot (love that) and the portions were HUGE!! Â And our server was great
We wanted to try a few things since the place is new. Â
So we tried the ....
jalapeno poppers - tons of cheese
potato skins - yummy, lots of cheese and bacon
chili - very meaty
lobster bisque - awesome and huge pieces of lobster!!
fish and chips - nice thick pieces of fish, super crispy batter, just like I remember from Ireland
ribs - fall off the bone tender w just the right amount of sauce
The chocolate mousse was just like you'd get at the best gourmet restaurant and the red velvet cake was THE BEST I've ever had. Â
We took home another 2 meals of leftovers!
We're definitely going back!!
