El N' Gee Club

Pretty solid little night club/music venue in New London, CT.

I went for a show because I missed the Boston date and was highly impressed with what I experienced.  Great sound, cheap drinks (three dollar Saranac bottles), and they allow re entry all night (won't find that at the Palladium).  Staff seemed pretty friendly and bartender kept my water glass filled along with a beer in my hand.  It's only about an hour drive from Providence, which isn't that much worse than hitting up Boston in rush hour.  I enjoyed myself and thought it was cool, medium sized spot for a show.  I will certainly be back in the future to check out other metal shows when they don't hit up places closer to me.  I must say I prefered it over the upstairs of the Palladium.

Seems like a cool spot to check out local bands. Definitely an interesting crowd. My buddy recommends not drinking random water bottles you find in the bathroom!

Saw The Ataris play here on Friday night.  It seemed like a real underground punk type place.  The bathrooms apparently smelled disgusting (I didn't go in), and there was a chainlink fence separating the bar from the under 21 area.  Bottles of water were only a buck, so thanks to the owners for not raping those of us that don't want to drink.
