This is THE local pub in Marysville! Â I instantly felt very comfortable with clientele and the bartenders! Â I went in on Monday night football and it was so much fun! Â The place was packed and had great food! Â There was at least 5 flat screen TVs so everyone had a great seat! Â I am going to make Homeplate my regular place to watch the Seahawks!
Review Source:Spouse and I came here after dropping the kids off with grandma for the weekend. Â We had never been but had driven by a hundred times. We loved the atmosphere but what really impressed us was the great local beer selection on tap as well as the food their dishing out. Â
NO DEEP FRYERS! ALL FRESHLY PREPARED!! Â The Chipotle Chorizo Burger was to die for. Â We will definitely be back.
This bar belongs to locals, no question about that. Not entirely surprising. It's just a hunch, but I doubt this part of Washington receives a lot of tourists. A few friends brought me here and my ignorant California-centric attitude anticipated one thing, I received another thing. No one gave me the evil eye or even cared that they had never seen me.
It's full of characters, the way I enjoy my bars, has karaoke (with an extensive list) on Saturday nights, and has decent music on the juke. However, their drink prices aren't listed anywhere, which is my only complaint. $7 for a drink called, Scooby Snack. A delicious concotion of pineapple juice and whipped cream with several other ingredients I can't remember. The drinks are strong. Really great microbrews on tap as well. Service kicks tuchus, super friendly and as soon as you're hitting the bottom of the glass, you turn your back and another magically appears. Decent bar food and it seemed that most of was made in-house, not frozen. Dart boards, billiards table and several flat screens.
As for the atmosphere, I was picking up a heavy Northern Exposure-esque vibe. I believe that's self-explanatory.
I'd love to come to this place again.
