Papa's and Beer

For great Mexican food - many items that are not necessarily found at your average American Mexican restaurant...the salsa bar variety is unique!

We ordered takeout from them and the food was good. My in- laws had the enchiladas supreme and loved it. Staff is super friendly and eager to please. Would definitely return....

Food is decent. Far from authentic or different than any Azteca/Ixtapa type of place as some others have said. The service is really good, but the inside of the place is dark and depressing. And the decor is completely random. It's also suffering from the same access issues Alfy's suffered from while in the same building. The salsa bar is a small cart of different sauces. If you are expecting the salsa bars that are found in the mission dist where there are peppers, radishes, cilantro, etc....you will be disappointed. I couldn't really tell the difference between some of the salsas, and some were hot just to be hot and lacked flavor.
