Home Run Inn

Well I have never been a huge pizza fan....but when I wanted some real good Chicago Style Pizza I headed to Home Run Inn. This location was about 15 minutes from my house but I would really only stop by when I was coming home from work. Since I worked at Midway airport....if I was craving pizza I would just stop here on my way home and grab a pie. It was always pretty crowded and parking was a challenge because this location is in the "hood" so to speak....but usually it didn't take to long for me to get my food even though I didn't call it in. The service and prices were pretty decent....but the pizza was AWESOME. I kind of regret I didn't go here more often....but if your ever in Chi-town and want some good pizza give home run inn a try. Eat, Drink, and be Merry my Friends!!!!

First of all. This place has couple health code violations. Serve is decent. Perhaps the server should refrain from chewing & popping her gum or just NOT chew any.

The Super fries were less then super. They messed up our super fries order and brought us a blob of nacho cheese and some fries with NO toppings. When the server asked her helper/food runner to fix it all they did was throw bacon bits on it...STILL missing the other toppings. If they can't get this right then the cooks need to work on kitchen skills. The only think that semi made up for all the flaws was the pizza.

I won't ever go back for dine in but pizza pick up, sure why not.
I hope management does something to correct these problems.

Great thin pizza and good hot wings.  Good local spot for traditional Chicago style.
