Holy cow I hated this place! The only reason why I would go back is for their food but the ladies there were not only rude, but incompitent or something. I came to Hooters a couple of nights ago with a couple of my friends for food and drinks. It was my first time there so I was expecting a lot for this place since I've heard nothing but good things. We were seated and fed instantly. But after that, the problems began. I kidd you not I called our waitress about seven times and after the seventh time calling her, I had had enough of her. I called another lady who looked like the supervisor and told her that I had called my waitress seven times and was ignored each and every time. She finally came up to me and gave me my bill and to my surprise she had charged herself a 7 DOLLAR TIP. ARE YOU NUTS!!! That lady didn't deserve half of the tip I had to pay anyhow. I told the manager that I was extremely upset and refused to pay the tip she had installed on herself. The manager had informed me that since I had a giant party, the tip was part of it. I was outraged and mad that they did not inform me about this. I paid and left and I VOW to NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!
Horrible people and horrible service. If i could, I wold have given them negative stars.
"Disappointing" is the only word I can find to describe this place. The staff is full of a bunch of perverted young girls with ink everywhere and no respect for others, and the food is disgusting. At times, they will give you something completely different then what you asked for and they love to ignore you. To take kids here and to call this a "family restaurant" proves just how corrupt and awful places like the City of Bakersfield has become. I am ashamed to have ever stepped into a dump and suppose I deserve the food poisoning I got from eating their disgusting fried pickles which they recommended. This is NOT a place to take your family, a date (If she is a real woman), or a business meeting. This place needs to be shut down, and to give such awful servers high tips and promote their actions for being sluts is damaging to them, and everybody else who will ever come in contact with them. Hooters of Bakersfield California, you are bottom of the barrel. Yuck..
Review Source:I had heard a lot of good things about Hooters so my husband and I decided to stop by and see what the fuss was about. I have to say not only was I not impressed but as been someone who worked as a waitress before I was VERY disappointed at their service IT SUCKS! They give men more attention, when we walked in their was only 4 more tables and it took forever to get our food, when we got our drinks they barely had any ice. We ordered an appetizer, we didn't get any plates or silverware. Looking cute is not always the way to make your tips. I wanted to give this girls the tip of my boot.
Review Source:it was my husband, my 9 month old and myself for dinner. the service wasnt very good, we had 4 different girls wait on us, wich is very confusing if you have a question or need to ask for the check. my husband got endless wings and shrinp. the add said wings AND shrimp, and all he got was wings, he wanted boneless but they said it was saturday only, but there was nothing on that stated that. the wings were good, but god forbid you want ranch or celleary because they charge extra for that. i had a nacho ordanary burger, i asked for some pink, and it was over done and nobody even offered a kids menue. i dont think we will be going there for a while.
Review Source:The service here keeps getting worse and worse... I came here two nights in a row... On Thursday night around 10:15pm... I sat at a booth by myself (keep in mind it was late at night on a Thursday... There was one other table and 4 hooter girls working) a few of them walked by my booth but none would stop to take MY DRINK order... Finally after waiting 20 minutes and I'm getting ready to leave one of the girls that was working left the bar area and came and took my drink order... I took advantage of her coming over and also put my wing order in as well (for fear of her being MIA for another 20 minutes) when my wings came (after another 25 minutes (kitchen must have been backed up since I was the only table here at this point). I took one look at my wings and they royally screwed up my order... For fear of being there all night I ate the wings and called it a night...
Fast forward to the next night... Friday... I come here with my buddy... The waitress comes over right away and takes our drink order... The drinks come and she starts to take my buddies order... He orders and the waitress walks away before I can order... A few minutes later she comes back with his food, drops it off and before we get a chance to say anything walks away again... Now my buddy has his food and I'm still waiting to order... She comes back a few minutes later to drop off the check because she has to go home early... I tell her I also want to eat and she gives me the death look like I pissed in her Cheerios because I'm the @$$hole who came in and wanted to eat (go figure I am at a "restaurant" and I want to eat) needless to say my buddy finished his food and I was still waiting for mine... By far the worst experience I have ever had and seriously making me consider not coming here anymore!!!
never did expect to have such great service here .  the staff was friendly and provided fastest service i have seen in a long time. our waitress, karina  was attentive and friendly  we got the endless wings and she even orders the second serving with the first serving so we didnt have to wait for them. i know most people will come here for the girls in scantily clad shorts and cleavage but this was by far the best experience with this restraunt out of any of the hooters  i have been to will defiantly be coming here again soon
Review Source:The service was the slowest service ever!!! We got all you could eat wings and got two orders in almost an hour and a half!! The waitress was so nice to the locals and totally ignored us. We were passing through on our honeymoon, thanks hooters! I would never go back! If it wasn't that all hooters server the same food I would never go to another  hooters, but I love their wings. I just wish I could get more than 15, in an hour and half. Sorry hooters of Bakersfield, but you have to bee the worst hooters in the world!!
Review Source:Typical of any other Hooters, scantily clad ladies distracting you from the mediocre food and service. Been here a year and only wanted to go there once, having low expectations from the get-go... well at least they didn't disappoint. As long as you're a regular, or a guy foolish enough to fall for their charms, the girls here are as attentive as long as your wallet is deep. My brother and I made a visit for some wings and beer, we had to wait over 22 minutes after we were seated before our first drink order was even taken (my bro thought it'd be funny to time it...22 minutes! No joke)
Review Source:This isn't the fanciest of places, but its an interesting place to feast the eyes and stomach ha. Alright so went today for lunch and wow the speed was so slow. There is no way that you can go if you only have an hour lunch. The restaurant wasn't even half way full. Our waitress was attentive and had the hooters girl routine down so I would say the problems are in the kitchen. My bbq chicken sandwich was okay, but they were stingy on the lettuce and tomatoes. I would recommend they upgrade their fries they're not that great. Overall for $5.99 the sandwich and fries is about the same price as a nasty McDonald's combo. Much prefer this place over McDonald's.

The food was actually pretty good! I liked their wings a lot. They have different types to accommodate your preference.
The girls are pretty. The waitresses were attentive...a little too attentive for my liking. For example, while we were eating, one of the servers was cleaning the restaurant chairs, and I swear she was wiping up and down the SAME leg chair the ENTIRE time we were there...now that's a long time! Like, girl, move on to the next leg chair!! When we were about to leave, she finally moved on to the next leg chair.
 We asked our server if they ever hire "not so sexy" people. She replied "fat people never apply" LOL
What I liked:
The food is actually pretty good, nothing that would blow you away, if I had to describe it I would say it's Chili's but instead of wishing you had x-ray glasses to peep at your waitress in here they save you the trouble and come scantily clad. Speaking of that yeah they all look as you would expect cleavage ridden and what not.
I like and both hate the fact that they have hard liquor here, because my dolt friends will almost undoubtedly give way too much in tips, and run up the bill that I may one day inherit.
What I didn't:
This could have possibly been because I came in on an off hour, but the place seemed dull like another reviewer had mentioned the staff seemed "Robotic." Speaking of Chili's or Red Robin these places had a more energetic atmosphere than this Hooters... it makes me think of High School as an analogy Hooters is the hot girl, she knows she's attractive and guys will swoon over her and buy her all the shit she wants so in turn she doesn't try.. like at all, she doesn't go out of her way to impress you, she thinks the cute outfit should be enough, whereas Red Robins is a nerdy book worm sure she's simple but give her one of those spiked lemonades and see what happens. (probably heart burn)
All in All:
If you go try going on a Friday or Saturday (perhaps more energetic night)
The food can stand on it's own and this could be a nice starting point to a fun night. Unless you really want to see cleavage, or really love wings this place isn't a must eat, but then again what places are now a days. I'd go back if I was feeling wing-y.

The Hooters in Bakersfield is huge! Â (So I've heard compared to others). Â It was my first time here and it was an enjoyable experience. Â We waited about an hour for a party of 14. Â Hooters here is packed. Â We have people flooding the parking lot waiting to get inside.
Atmosphere felt like a sports bar. Â All the flat screen TVs were tuned into sport games. Â It's loud and lively at Hooters! Â My guy friends used the restrooms and said it was pretty messy. Â As for the ladies restroom, I didn't bother after hearing what the guys encountered. Â Ew! Â The Hooters server passed out hand wipes so it was all good before we ate and afterward.
We ended up splitting up our group (we didn't want to wait any longer! We were starving!), but the tables were right next to each other! Â A few of us sat in the low tables, while the rest of us sat in the high tables. Â It turned out nice. Â Our server was very sociable and friendly. Â She did a good job for a very busy Friday night. Â She's the type of server you would want to have while visiting this place.
The food here is yummy! Â If you go to Hooters, you need to try the Fried Pickles! Â It's an ultimate delight! Â I ordered a Raspberry Ice Tea while friends ordered soft drinks (Dr. Pepper, etc.). Â My tea was crisp and good, while they said their soft drinks were watered down. Â However, we also ordered two pitchers of beer (Coors and Blue Moon) and they were good to go. ;) The chicken wings were awesome. Â We ordered 50pcs of Mild and 50pcs Medium. Â I think we'll try to kick it up a notch the next time we come around because the Mild was more of a plain and the Medium was more of a mild.
Near the very end, they sang a Birthday song to me. Â Yay for Birthday celebrants at Hooters! haha Oh, and for the table next to us, yay for first timer's Hooters song, too! haha
All in all, delightful ladies, good food, and cold drinks. Â It's a must when you want to hang out with friends, family, and when you come by to visit Bakersfield!
