Wow...and not WOW Wingery. This place has such an enchanting atmosphere. We are always satisfied when we leave. There's nothing like sucking on some grade -A wings while listening to their eclectic jukebox collections, which include Shedaisy, Nickelback, Creed, and Right Said Fred. Did I mention they've got hot tots? Tater tots that is. Don't miss out on this Metairie treasure.
Review Source:If I have a craving for big, unhealthy wings, Hooters is my go to place. I normally get the breaded wings, and I've tried about half of the flavors. My top three are 3 Mile Island, Thai Honey, and Spicy Garlic. However, after five wings, it gets tedious to eat the rest because the sauces get too overwhelming. I feel like they add way too much sauce, but my bf disagrees and likes the sauciness.
The 911 flavor is good, but only a tad bit too spicy for me to enjoy without sweating, which is why the 3 Mile Island is the perfect amount of spiciness. The Spicy Garlic is too salty at times and is worse with breaded wings. I've tried the Lemon Pepper rub on the breaded wings, and the seasoning seemed to fall off every time I picked up the wing. It might be better to get this one naked. Not a big fan of the Daytona Beach, BBQ flavors, or Chipotle Honey.
I love the curly fries here when they are fresh and hot! Even better when dipping them in ranch sauce! The Lots-A-Tots are okay, I'm just not the biggest fan of gooey cheese covering my tater tots. My bf enjoys the fried jalapenos, and the sauce that comes with it is quite tasty. I've tried the raw oysters here, and they are pretty good, considering that this is a wing place.
Overall, nothing spectacular, just your average Hooters and wings place. Service is average. At least the wings are bigger than Buffalo Wild Wings, and slightly cheaper.
I had the Thai Honey wings which were really good! This place was packed the night I went and we still got our food in a timely manner and the waitress was great and stayed on top of things. My only complaint was the cop that stood at the front of the restaurant and seemed to be gazing my way every time I looked up.
