Hot Shots Sports Bar & Grill

Let me first say that my husband dragged me into this place and I was none too happy just from pulling up in the parking lot so I already had my diva attitude on high alert as I would never choose this place based on name, looks from the outside, etc. etc.  But for some reason if you throw the name "sports bar" in a title it seems to excite some guys....My husband being one of them as he wanted to watch the Steelers.....

Inside one big open space with a bar in the middle....lots of beer signs on the wall and a smoker's paradise....SMOKE SMOKE SMOKE SMOKE SMOKE.... If you love second hand smoke or creating your own make sure you go here---as this is your place...

I ordered a drink---nothing complicated I think a rum and coke and it was sucked down in 2 seconds and I was ready to go but because this was my last offer from the wonderful husband for food after shopping all day...I sucked it up and ordered one of the specials of the day a brat (they were out of kraut!) what the hell---I would not have ordered it if they mentioned that up front......

It was horrible I took two bites---pissed and moaned till he brought me home and made myself a grilled cheese...NEVER AGAIN......

Holy hoosier fest!  Now let me preface this with saying that I grew up out in the country, and when I wanna be I am a "good ole boy" but these guys put me to shame.  All with handlebar mustaches, cut off sleeves, and trucker hats, this place is just a joe dirt look-a-like central.  As the previous reviews also mentioned, it is a smokey environment as well, which I personally HATE!  However, it is still a Hotshots, and they still are very reasonably priced, and their food is always good.  So if I am in the area, and want wings, and a few beers, I give it a whirl.  I wouldn't recommend wearing a button down and shiny shoes though... you get some weirdo looks!

It's should be called Smokers Paradise.  I went to Hot Shots with an associate for lunch today. Nearly everyone in the place was smoking.  We moved to a different booth from our original booth to flee two chain smokers, only to have smokers on both sides of us lighting up after they finished their meals... about the same time our food was arriving.

We ate quickly and left.  It's a cold snowy day and I'm not sure if their ventilation system was even working because our clothes and hair now smell like cigarette smoke.

The food was ok, it's normal bar fare. But you will not enjoy trying to eat it unless you're a heavy smoker.
