Mile 277 Tap & Grill

This would be a good spot for large company events as we are so close, but it's a tough sell when the decor, wait staff, and entertainment are so rough, and not really in an edgy, sexy way you might see at other biker joints around town.
The space is good size and well laid out with nooks for private parties and groups.  They have okay happy hour specials- the half price apps are the highlight with their yummy selection of wings and the rock & ride nachos over housemade potato chips.  My last visit, I told the waitress I wanted an import draft, she asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a 22 oz.  Sure, but then she tells me that it's not half price.  Okay, then, then I will stick with the standard 16 oz to take advantage of happy hour pricing.  Then I am informed that my import is actually not even half price for happy hour at 16 oz, only AB.  Hmmm...all of this info would have been helpful and less confusing up front.  Back to the 22 oz import at full price.  
The music and other entertainment fits with the demographic- mostly cover band and bikini contest type fare.  Some of the long-performing cover bands are a little stale.  I love to support local artists and the music scene, but a few of these bands are resting on their "big fish in a small pond" laurels.  It would be nice to see something fresh.  
There is plenty of parking and many smaller motorcycle spots, which helps save a big spot from being taken by bikes.  There is also a nice patio which has smaller acts during summer happy hours- a better experience here, I think.

Im a 28/m came here so a friend of a friend could hit on some cougars and man o man were there some cougars!!!! $5 cover at the door Sat night which sucks. This place is like a night club for people in their 40s-50s. Band is awesome. Playing rock (thank god no country) No Doubt, Cake, Styx. 5 piece with sax and keys. Potato skins are good. Flat screens with sports. Bikes everywhere. And cougars.

This place was horrible!  Our first visit was on a Sunday around noon.  There were two men at the bar, but no other tables.  Our server seemed very flustered even so.  She greeted us, but could barely get her words out correctly.  She had to start over as she was greeting us, then explained that "she had worked the previous night until 3am and hadn't gotten to bed until 5 am, so she was extremely hungover, overworked, and exhausted."  Not something I want to hear from my server!  The other servers were all gabbing at a booth a few down from us.  "I'm tired.....I'm cold......Its slow....This is ridiculous.....I'm never going to make enough money....yadda yadda yadda."  Also not what I want to hear.  She brought our drinks and asked for our order.  I happen to like to modify the crap out of things.  I ordered a side salad to be out first and the club, untoasted, mayo on the side, add swiss, with chips.  She laughed and told me to wait while she went to get her book to write it down because it was too much.  When she came back, I repeated my order and my boyfriend ordered the steak special (8oz steak with side for $10).  I also added that I would like a bloody mary.  She proceeded to tell me that they used to have specials on those during football, but not anymore, plus, it's soooooo slow now that football is over.  Way to tell me how great the place is!  My salad came about 5 minutes later.  My drink had still not arrived and she did not speak of it.  I saw the bartender was only focused on her two customers at the bar, so I assumed this is why.  After finishing my salad, while listening to our server and the others complaining a few booths down, I was a little annoyed.  I decided I would just tell her to forget the drink.  Then I hear the bartender yell over to her, "Melanie, you know your have a drink up?"  She disappeared to the other side of the bar and didn't return with my drink for another 5 minutes.  This was even after our food came.  My sandwich was ok, although it had mayo ON it, and on the side.  The chips were dreadful, they seemed to be re dipped in the deepfryer.  My boyfriend said the steak was terrible.  I have never seen him not finish a steak, EVER! (Also, he has been sick and throwing up ALL day, beginning about 30 minutes after our meal)  There was another couple that came in after us that also looked very unhappy with their experience as well.  Needless to say, I completely stiffed the girl on a tip, which I felt horrible about because we have both been in the service industry, so that is very very rare that we would even think to tip under 20%.  I decided to call and let the manager know about our experience afterward.  I told him I called, instead of speaking to him when we were there because I didn't want anything offered for free to come back.  I was very polite to him and told him all of this.  He seemed unsurprised by the service, but shocked that the food wasn't good.  However, I feel that he was just listening and probably won't do anything to better the place.  I would not recommend this at all!  We will sooooo not be back, but hey, at least now we know.
