We stumbled upon this place on our way to Aztec Brewing and LOVED it. GREAT brews, the owner was super friendly and informative, lots of history behind this family brewing. The ambiance and decor are also probably one of the best in my opinion of all craft breweries. Great space - would love to rent it out for a private party. Owner told us they bring in bands on the weekends so we'll definitely be back!
Review Source:Great people working there, beer was wonderful! TVs, heaters and real tables/chairs too. They have different foods available depending on the night. They sell a root beer too, in case you are the designated driver, a nice touch! The peach brew was yummy. We will definitely be back to try more. Great music too! It was almost as if there was a live band playing ! It's close to Belching Beaver and Iron Fist if you want to make it a threesome..
Review Source:This place is great!! Decided to go on my own little tour one Saturday and this was my second stop. I was greeted by the nicest people in the world! There are tables in the middle of the room and a bar you can sit at with stools. Best part was all the heaters, which made it extremely comfortable.
I started looking up other breweries in the area and then one of the bartenders gave me a pamphlet of all the breweries in San Diego and North County. Totally read my mind!!!
They had a large assortment of beers so I had to get a flight so I could try a little bit of everything. They have the best method I have seen when it comes to the tasters. They give you a place-mat you can write on, and a menu. Each beer has a number so you can write the number of the beer you want to try directly on the place-mat and then refer to the menu so you know what you are drinking. Genius!!!
They have a huge variety so I tried a little bit of everything (you get 12 tasters in a flight). I have to say my 2 favorites were the Chocolate-Hazelnut Porter (Whipped cream on top) and the Pumpkin Ale (pumpkin spice around the rim).
They also had a taco bar in case you got hungry.
I can't wait to come back here. I think I have almost finished visiting all the breweries in the area and this one has definitely been the best.
I thought your place was really great. Â With so many breweries in SD and in this location, you have to stand out to get people enthusiastic enough to review!
The beers were really nice and the tasting room was just big enough. Â The guys behind the bar (I think one of them was the owner) seemed really enthusiastic and were very helpful with the beer selection recommendations. Â Some interesting beers and well worth the price.
Will return. Â Cant really fault the place.
I REALLY liked the jamacain food stall. Authentic stuff such as Ox Tail was really great. Â I wish I had not ate so much before going here, so I could eat more of it. Â The girls serving the food were really sweet.
Amazing beer (seriously, try the Raspberry Wheat or Peach/Apricot Hef)!!!!! The staff and owners are all very friendly and very interested in their customers. One Love food truck was there and although I had already eaten, the food looked and smelled amazing. Great live music and they had college basketball on the TV's. I can not say anything negative about this place and suggest you try it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
I visited for the first time tonight. I frequent California Fruit Wine (their neighbors) all the time and decided to stop by. So glad we did! 11 of the 12 beers I tasted were fantastic! Honestly, who can say that? And the 12th wasn't "bad", just out of my taste preference, but I would still drink it! These guys are the real deal and you can bet I will be back often and supporting the heck out of this brewery. I thought moving to Vista 3 years ago would be a bust, but I have to say, establishments like this make me glad to call Vista home :-) Thanks Indian Joe Brewing, see you again real soon!
