I live 5 mins away from this Ihop and I'm always satisfied with the food as well as the service every time I come here. Â Some of the servers really go out of their way to be attentive and accommodating, that's a big plus! Â It's a pancakes and eggs chain restaurant so don't be a snob and expect five-star treatment when you stroll in at 3 am. For me, I always get my money's worth and more, so I'm happy.
Review Source:The parking lot was packed! Â What were all these people doing here on a weekday morning? It was past breakfast and not really lunch yet. Did they get a special notice that I didn't get? Â Was there a special 2 for 1 deal going on?
Once inside nothing unusual seemed to be happening; just lots of full tables with folks chatting and eating. Â
Hungry.
Seated right away.
Coffee was before me instantly.
Order taken.
Order arrived.
Food was warm & good. Â
Server was friendly and checked back regularly.
Bill came quickly.
All was good.
Very satisfied.
Tummy full.
I'll be back next time I'm in this neighborhood and starving.
[This was my weekly "Pay it Forward" place for the good of my soul and to cheer up a stranger who was having a very bad day.]
Ihop is suppose to be an experience for the either late night --or extremely early morning. My friend and I were approaching midnight and needed a snack. We were seated in a booth and I was immediately hit with the distinct smell of hobo and urine. GROSS! I even thought maybe it was in my head because this is a very old location and what can you expect in Aurora. I took a break and stepped outside for a min. Came back and yep still there. I ordered a piece of cake and hot chocolate. The cake was for some reason, too rich to eat. I dont remember having this much problem scarfing down a piece of chocolate cake. My hot chocolate was just a little too strong.. I had a hard enough time to sit there with the smell of a colfax  bus stop , and try to eat this pure sugar piece of cake. I realize this is ihop and not a 4 star --but geeze this has to be the worse ihop in the state. The one in south Denver is much better..but then again look at the area of town. To each their own and your experience could differ.
Review Source:We strolled in at about 2am last night and had absolutely crappy service. Â It took forever just for us to get water and coffee. Â Once we were finally able to order, it took a very long time for our food to show up. Â We started to notice that tables around us that were even sat after us and ordered after us were getting their food.
I don't want to sound like a bigot, because I am truly not one, but we were the ONLY table in the entire place that was white. Â Even among all of the employees. Â I hope that this wasn't the case, but we all felt as if we were being discriminated against because we were white. Â I know this is a harsh accusation, but I'm being completely serious!
Once we finally did get our food, my eggs were rubbery, my friend's sandwich was cold as if it just came out of the fridge and there was something wrong with every plate we got. Â On the bright side, my potatoes were really good. Â I should have taken a photo of my plate though. Â The portion was very small and it looked like crap. Â I even dug around in my food for a sec just to make sure there wasn't spit in it or something.
I have eaten here once or twice before and it was fine. Â But it's been a while since I've been here and I think maybe the staff and the overall aura of the place has definitely shifted. Â I don't think I ever want to come back here.
