Cajun food is scarce in Lafayette. Cajun restaurants don't seem to last long. This one might make it. I am no connoisseur of these kind of dishes. I've been to New Orleans once for a few days. I eat Cajun food on Fat Tuesday at an annual dinner that I attend. But that's it. This is a little restaurant with not much seating, so you may want to go early or late. The menu seems a little limited, but for lunch that's fine. You get your food really fast because it must be already prepared and sitting in a cook pot to be dished out. I had the jambalaya and it was spicy by Midwest standards and I got a lot for my money, plus a slice of garlic bread. The staff are very friendly and if you're unfamiliar with the food, they offer free tastes. I will be back and I'm glad there's a little variety on the Lafayette menu.

I decided to give this place a try today since I have spent the last 3 years in Louisiana and wanted to give them a try to see how they stack up to NOLA  AND IT WAS AMAZING!  There can not be enough said about the staff.  They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome.  I was even given samples of food to test out before I bought (although this became problematic because THEY WERE ALL SO GOOD I COULD DECIDE WHICH ONE TO GET!!)
I went with two meals in one bowl and got the gumbo and the drunken chicken.  The gumbo is some of the best soup Ive ever had.  It is a perfect blend of soup and rice.  and the Drunken Chicken is the best chicken I have ever had.  Its spicy, but not too spicy.  I AM DEFINITELY telling all my co-workers about it and will be back often.  It is a great meal at a cheap price!   I only wish they would deliver!

I did not have high expectations for cajun food as this is Indiana but my friends recommended this and I had been to this franchise in Ohio before and the experience was not bad. But I will never return to this location.

The service was friendly and fast; the restaurant clean; plenty of food is put in the bowls. If this is your only criteria for eating, please go. But if I was the franchise owner, I revoke their license, as this place is doing a disservice to their menu.

You cannot call something crawfish etouffee and only have 6 of the world's smallest pieces of crawfish in the bowl - I little had to hunt to fund them. My husband's gumbo was more like soup. The menu normally offers spice level choices but these were not available. The ratio of rice to etouffee or gumbo was off. This was beyond my level  of disappointment for any restaraunt.
