Jamboozies in Sterling Heights, MI had a burger we were dying to try. Since we cannot partake of the same morsels, only I got to taste. Anyone that knows us guys, knows we like hard egg on a burger, that's exactly what I got in the sunrise burger. Prime ground beef, bacon, over hard egg, ham, and melted pepper jack cheese. This burger is a heart attack on bread, but that's why we workout! I know it's good when I hand it to my accomplice for him to try. The other burg was the Ragin Cajun. Same meat seasoned cajun, smothered in jalapenos and sauteed onions, with melted pepper jack. Nothing show stopper said about it. Each burger was $7.5 and the 25 oz beers would take you between $ and $7 or so.

Jamboozies is a place that reminds me of joint that collects all crowds. Maybe not at the same time though. Think Roadhouse minus the cage, the violence, and the mullets. (at least no mullets last night) There were a lot of TV's and a huge projection screen playing both hockey and baseball. There is a small dance floor and there was a guy playing live music. He was good, and not obnoxiously loud. The place is huge with one side having the dance floor and tv's and the other for the billiards. There bar looked fun with the dentist chair incorporated for those needing a shot to fix them. They were however out of PBR... How could that happen! Theresa was always on point with the drink refills and this has never been an issue with us!
Ah, the continuing saga of "Dave winds up in a cougar bar, whacky mayhem ensues".
With all due apologies to Julie Andrews. Â *ahem*
Cougars in crop tops and much cleavage showing
Grabbed by the bathrooms with offers of blowing
Tables of ladies turning 'round wedding rings
These are a few of my favorite things
What's with old Elvis? Â And I think that's a tranny!
Some poor bastard's trapped in that corner by granny
A couple in the parking lot wearing out the back springs
These are a few of my FAAAAAAAAAAvorite things
Wives and their husbands, not here with each other
I'm think I just heard that dude's here with his mother
Here comes our waitress, our trays of shots she now brings!
These are a few of my FAAAAAAAAAAAAvorite things!
When my ass is grabbed
When the cougar clings
When I'm horrified
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feeeeeeeeeeeeel sooooooooooooooooo baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!
Regarding large group parties: We had my daughter's baby shower here. Â The service was great, the food was fresh and good, and we had a great time being able to more easily mingle over a traditional hall as we had many from out of town that were there for the visiting. Â
The only disappointment was when we arrived, they had no idea we had ordered an appetizer. They said they could not read the writing of the manager that set up the party who wasn't there at the time. Â But in the end, they put it together in a reasonable time and it was very good. Â
Again, the servers were wonderful!!
I've always had a good time at Jamboozies. They helped sponsor my hockey team. They have great drink specials. The staff are always fun. Music is great. Karaoke is awesome. Food is amazing. I've never had a bad experience there. I feel like part of the family. Â It's impossible to not give this place a 5 star review. JAMBOOZIES 4 LIFE.
Review Source:I'm a bit puzzled by some of these negative reviews. I've been going to Jamboozies for 7+ years and have always had a wonderful experience. The waitstaff is always friendly, they're generous pours, and they have specials all week. Real specials. $1 burgers? Heck yeah. $6 for a pizza and a pitcher of beer? I'm in. Oh, and speaking of pizza, Jamboozies actually makes a damn tasty pie. The comment about saving your money and going to Little Caesers? You're nuts, buddy. Enjoy your cardboard pizza. I'll stick with Boozies, thank you very much.
