I had very high hopes for this coffee shop and really, really wanted to love it! The owner was pleasant, the interior inviting, but my latte had a strange aftertaste. Since all other reviews are ecstatic about the quality of coffee, I'll have to give them a second try. Will amend my review then.
Review Source:I can't say anything bad about this place, super cute, friendly service and what appears to be an office setup so people can conduct business meetings there? Not sure, it was adorable none the less. They also have pork free breakfast burrito which was amazing. Well I mean amazing they had them, I found mine to be meh...had better but still getting the option of pork free was nice.
As a non-coffee drinker I got a smoothie which was huge for the money and tasted really good, and tasted like a ton of calories.
Price wise this place is a great deal.
The coffee (from Elevation roasters) is delicious. This was my second time visiting and I got the dark chocolate mocha both times I believe (I'm a sucker for chocolate and coffee together) and it was very good. The prices are reasonable.
The atmosphere is decent... it has some of the most important ingredients for a relaxing coffee shop: warm colors, comfortable furniture, and friendly staff. However, the music almost cancels all of that out. The first time I went in, it was reggae.... really?? This time it was mostly oldies... I was glad I had my earbuds along and free wifi to listen to Pandora on my phone. Having more customers there would give it a better vibe, too... hopefully that comes with time.
There aren't many independent coffee shops in Aurora, so there's great potential for this place. I'll continue visiting and hopefully business will pick up and the music will improve!
A great addition to our neighborhood. Â The owner really knows his coffee. Â The best Caffe Mocha I have ever had. Â This will be the only place I buy my coffee from now on. Take a break or grab your morning brew on the way to the office from the drive through.
You can't tell by looking at the outside but inside is cozy with leather chairs. Â A nice place to enjoy what is in your cup. Â The Java Cup also has sandwiches, pastries and other goodies to purchase.
Don't miss it!!
I was fairly crushed when Grind Coffee closed awhile back since it was one of my faves. Â Well, Java Cup is a brand new independent coffee shop and just as close to my house. Â I've only been a couple times but the coffee is great (Elevation- locally roasted and small business/farmer friendly), the owner is nice and I already mentioned the local and close aspects. Â The inside is laid out well plus there is outdoor seating and a drive-thru. Â For all Aurora coffee fans, stop by and give 'em a try. Â Hopefully they can be here for years to come!
Review Source:I went into my new local coffee house for the first time this morning and I'm so happy they are in the neighborhood. First of all, they were able to take a crappy, abandoned, old Taco Bell and turn it into something quite fresh, clean and comfortable. The barista was friendly and happy to answer my questions about the new business, bean suppliers, etc. I ordered a double Americano which is a very simple drink to make but it is the best way to taste the quality of beans. They are getting their beans from Elevation coffee and I was very happy with my drink. I really hope this little coffee house takes off and sticks around!
