Dragon Boat Sushi and Asian Kitchen

My boyfriend and I do sushi regularly and we love trying new sushi restaurants around town... This one we will not be returning to.  Very slow service, crappy sushi and bad decor.  The sushi looked and tasted like it was thrown together in about 3 seconds and slapped on a plate.  Good price for all you can eat, if you want low quality sushi and bad service.

Heard good things about them so figured we'd give them a try on their lunch sushi buffet.  Can't say we'll be back and here's why:

1. Miso soup is nasty.  Probably worst miso soup I've ever had.  Too salty, and they used dried seaweed.  It's fine to use dried seaweed, but not like that, not a big square and letting it soak for hours.  And I know miso is supposed to be salty, but I'm not supposed to pass out from my sodium consumption from one bowl of soup.
2. Sushi was not good.  Too much rice, and not good rice.  It's way too dense and mushy.  The kind of rice where you can't make out one grain from another, so it just looks like the fish was rowed in mashed rice ball.  
3. I don't think the fish is too fresh. Not asking for flown overnight fish, but just somewhat better.
4. Things that were cooked and came out hot is a little better, but not enough for me to come back for their sushi buffet again.

For same/similar price, do yourself a favor and just go to Sushi Katsu instead.

we went here for lunch and the sushi was nasty. taste like old sushi left out for a long time and the rice was hard and dry. I would not recommend sushi here. cook food is ok. service is slow but the waitress was very friendly.
