My boyfriend and I do sushi regularly and we love trying new sushi restaurants around town... This one we will not be returning to. Â Very slow service, crappy sushi and bad decor. Â The sushi looked and tasted like it was thrown together in about 3 seconds and slapped on a plate. Â Good price for all you can eat, if you want low quality sushi and bad service.
Review Source:Heard good things about them so figured we'd give them a try on their lunch sushi buffet. Â Can't say we'll be back and here's why:
1. Miso soup is nasty. Â Probably worst miso soup I've ever had. Â Too salty, and they used dried seaweed. Â It's fine to use dried seaweed, but not like that, not a big square and letting it soak for hours. Â And I know miso is supposed to be salty, but I'm not supposed to pass out from my sodium consumption from one bowl of soup.
2. Sushi was not good. Â Too much rice, and not good rice. Â It's way too dense and mushy. Â The kind of rice where you can't make out one grain from another, so it just looks like the fish was rowed in mashed rice ball. Â
3. I don't think the fish is too fresh. Not asking for flown overnight fish, but just somewhat better.
4. Things that were cooked and came out hot is a little better, but not enough for me to come back for their sushi buffet again.
For same/similar price, do yourself a favor and just go to Sushi Katsu instead.
