I thought the restaurant looked fine, it wasn't dirty or dim like others have said. Maybe they have cleaned up a bit. My partner is also very nitpicky about cleanliness and didnt hear a peep from him about the place. Was with friends who had been once before and he said the lighting had improved over his last visit.
Tried ordering drinks and gave up, everything we ordered off the menu they didnt have in stock - finally just resorted to ordering based on what we saw on neighboring tables instead of the menu! We got some imported beers and they were good.
They have a selection that varies greatly from what I have seen at many other Indian restaurants in Denver. A good mix of vegetarian and meat options and an extensive list of accompaniments and breads. Their dosa looked particularly impressive and I am sorry I didn't try one after seeing some delivered to neighboring tables.
I enjoyed the food I ordered. We started with Mulligatawny soup and Aappam with both Kuruma and coconut milk. Â Both were just ok. We shared entrees and I really enjoyed the Karaikudi Kabab and the Chettinad Chicken the most.
For what its worth, I was dining with all people born and raised in India, who all still visit yearly and they seemed to enjoy their food.
At the end of the night we asked them to split the bill and they messed up and put it all on one persons card! They seemed hesitant to fix it, luckily we had cash to pay our friend back.
3 Stars because the food and atmosphere were good but not happy about not the bar not being properly stocked and the check thing.
The owners of this restaurant don't care and have lost their way! Â
The place is filthy. RIP, RIP, RIP - the dining room wood floors are so sticky that it actually requires extra effort to walk on them. The men's bathroom was disgusting - ground in dirt on the floors, gross toilets, an unhygienic washbasin and a smell that was not pleasant.
I arrived at 12:45pm looking forward to the buffet. I'd been here before when I lived in Denver and remembered that I liked the buffet (3 1/2 stars). Today, I was one of the three people in the restaurant; the buffet had been mostly consumed, a chicken dish that had no sauce sat looking dry and tired. Â And, even though some of the food looked good I did not have a good feeling about it - Â so I left.
On last Friday we went to jai Ho for dinner. They had a big dining area and full bar. In the dinning are they had a poor floor and seems to be shabby. And also I felt that they should little bright lighting inside the dining area.
