Hurricane drinks will make you think you can dance with glow sticks to Jazz music. Â SO SO SO well made here. Â The fried pickles are whole pickles, and freaking awesome. Â The Onion rings are good also. Â
Staff is a tad slow, a little unresponsive at times, and any of the "Main Dinner Entrees" were horrid. Â
So why 4 stars??? Â
I had a freaking blast for happy hour here and the appetizers were very good. Â The main dish-gumbo was returned and credited.
I was really looking forward to trying this place... but over all I think I can say it was just meh-.
from appetizer to entree... I felt like it was lacking a little something. Food wasn't horrible. It was just okay.. like something I would whip up in my kitchen with left over ingredients. There wasn't any one plate that really made me say... Wow this is good! I would definitely come back for more of this!... it was just.. okay been here.. tried it.. not coming back.
Just picked up a to-go order from Jazz. I live in walking distance and I've ordered a few things to-go from them. Tonight it was 2lbs of crawfish, beignets and some voodoo wings. The order was hot and ready when I arrived.
I guess my only complaint is that when I asked the bartender, who you pick up your order from, if she gets the tip for packing it up she was indifferent and meh about it. I still left a $3 tip on the order but really? I grew up in the restaurant business and many places tip out differently. If she packed my order and was responsible for it, and I got everything I asked for, she should get the tip. Maybe she wasn't expecting it but now I have a bit of buyer's remorse about it. If you didn't care, why should I?
