I've been wanting to go to this place since the change from XS. As my previous review stated, XS left a sour taste in my mouth and I said I would never go back and I did not. I was curious to see how this place was, so me and my friends decided to go check it. First of all, I loved the fact that the security out front were nice and talkative. They even joked around with us a bit as we walked into the building. We got in for free as their advertisement on the radio stated it would be free before 11pm for women so that was a huge plus. The inside of the place was gorgeous, very nice building on the inside. Â There was no place for us to sit, so we decided to go to the bar to grab a few drinks. The bartender was very pleasant and even offered a discount to my friend on her drink because whatever it was she had ordered was not available. You don't normally get that at other clubs or bars, I thought that was nice of him. So as not to be long winded with my review update, I will just say that this was a vast improvement from my first experience and we all had so much fun. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is the fact that they had almost no seats for people that didn't pay for VIP, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. The drinks were also a bit pricey but it was expected.
Review Source:I went to XS for their Grand Opening and had the time of my life! Â About 10 of my friends and I drove in from Charleston. Â We all got the VIP package which allowed us quick entry and our own VIP section along with our own waitress. Â When I walked in, I was in awe of the place. Â There were girls dancing in cages really high up in the air and there was entertainment staff on hand dressed up; some were on stilts. Â It was really cool! Â The dance floor was packed but it wasn't hard to move around the club. Â Even though we had our own waitress, I went to the bar and was served very quickly. Â The prices were good. Â I checked out the back of the building which had another club with a band playing. Â I liked that the smoking area outside had lots of places to sit where I could hang out with my entire group of friends. Â The staff was very friendly! Â XS was definitely worth the drive and overnight stay!
Review Source:XS was a good time. LOVE the fact that they let Military in free of charge. Drinks weren't too pricey. Plenty of room to move and the scenery was amazing. DJ Scientist rocked the house and kept the crowd moving all night long. Definitely the best looking and sounding club in the state. Nothing like it anywhere else in SC. WIll definitely return with a crew.
Review Source:I'm not 21 anymore and I think this place caters to that younger raunchier crowd, don't really know, but it wasn't for me, and probably will not go back. Â I went there with some friends in our halloween costumes last night, and aside from the teenage mutant ninja turtles, every other costume was slut this or skank that (I do apologize for using such words, but REALLY, every woman looked like a working prostitute, and every guy looked a male ho!). Â Definitely felt out of sorts. Â I mean, where was the scary??!!! Â I thought that was the point of Halloween, but clearly the new definition is to walk out with as little clothing as possible (for some reading this, you may like that!). Â Even the bartenders had skirts up there butts! Â The attire wasn't obviously my scene, but did they atleast play good danceable music? Â Noooooo! Â Everything was bump and grind crap, and there was one couple that looked like they were, ahem, doing it, and it just felt gross. Â What about service? Â Any good? Â Again, noooo! Â My friend waited 20 minutes to order his drink. Â Then I went to the bar to help him, and stood for another 10 minutes w/o any luck. Â I noticed two woman get their drinks near us, went to them, and asked them if they were waiting long. Â They said no, and asked why. Â I told them we had been waiting for close to half an hour, and it was frustrating. Â The bartender heard me talking to them and finally acknowledged me and said she was slammed, so she couldn't keep track of everyone. Â Um, hello, I was wearing a giant ketsup costume (yes, I know!), seriously, you couldn't see me??!!! Â I was standing right at the bar with credit card in hand, looking like a tool, and ya didn't catch that??!!! Â Come on!
Also though they had a few other sections aside from the main dance floor the other areas were totally deserted and had nothing going on.
Yeah, I'll probably stick to more karaoke nights (getting old anyways!), and skip out on going here again. Â It's a shame b/c it would've been cool to have a dance place to go to in Columbia every now and then, but XS really isn't my cup of tea.
