I'm giving Jillian's 4 stars because they do a great job for what I go there for, which is entertainment that few other places offer in the area. My friends and I get tired of trying to find new things to do every weekend, but we've really come to enjoy this place. Everyone from the bouncer to the bartenders to the managers are very down to earth and like to talk to guests. Drinks are large and cheap but I haven't tried the food so I can't comment on that. Games might be a little pricy, but 3 of us played ping pong for 3 hours and paid $16 in total. I'd say that's pretty good for a fun night out. They also honored my friends' military id's and thanked them for their service.
Review Source:Im an old bag so I am very concerned with the quality of what I eat and drink. Â Place is huge and hugely entertaining - for that, I'd give it a 2.5-3 stars. Â For our "at the pool table server, Ms. "A", I'd give it a 5 star... For the first bartender - Id give it a -3 stars - what an unpleasant young ill manicured and really just unpleasant bar tender. Â For the cheap - college affordable booze, I'd give it a 1 star. Â
Not a bad place if its empty and your kids have cabin fever - pub-y food, not bad eats (2.5 stars - 3) for the food, and the "Dave and Buster" type of archade feel. Â Pool is pricey for college kids and the place is dingy/divey looking. Â They have cheap wine, cheap booze. Â Decent beers. Â And one unpleasant bartender that should be sent to "people skills" school... Uninterested in the "older" people at the bar, more interested with some gossip that another young server shared with her.
Place has potential... if the owners showed it some love, TLC...
Pretty good. Two complaints: 1. dress code, which I did not have a problem with, but my boyfriend was not let in because of his tank top. Come on it was summer and wicked hot out. Luckily I had a sweatshirt in my car and we got in. 2. Pool was a bit pricey and a place that is kind of dingy in a dingy location should not be that expensive. Did not order food so can't comment on that. Snuck our own drinks in but I know the drinks are cheap. Overall fun place with lots of things to do.
Review Source:You would think this place would be great. Â As I found out, it leaves a lot to be desired. Â When we had the big snow storm in October, we lost cable and I needed to re-route my party from my house to this place. Â Big mistake. Â Service was awful. Â Wings were terrible. Â More HD TV's were needed. Â The place was all in all depressing. Â I would never go here again.
Review Source:Beer, food, games, music, and pool everything you wish for in a pool place. The only hiccup is the waitress are very inattentive. They are pretty bad with your drink orders (mixers and cocktails) unless u order a straight beer. the food is not bad. been here on a UFC night gets pretty packed. Would go there just to hang out with friends over pool and beer.
Review Source:Never had food here, but I have been here for late night music, games, pool etc. Honestly, the best thing this place has going for it is how much room it has. Very big. Though they pack it with pool tables and game machines.
$2 rolling rocks, that's cool, but the bar staff is fairly inattentive. Honestly, for the type of atmosphere they're going for, I'm going to head right down the street to Boston Billiards.
Food was not worth it at all. Â Ordered an appetizer of boneless wings and the dish came out with little finger size something. Â The wings took up basically a quarter of the plate and we were shocked. Â If craving for wings, go to wings over worcester and you get a better deal. Bad service as well
Review Source:I'm surprised that this place has so few reviews, an that many of them are less than stellar. This is the only one I have been to, so I have no means of comparison to other branches of this franchise.
Beer, food, games, music, and pool... cant go wrong! One thing that I LOVE about this place is that no matter where in the establishment you go, you have the same waiter/waitress. I hate going to places and having to open/close tabs when you move from the bar to the pool tables etc. I also give wicked kudos to them for remembering the patrons faces well enough to track them down. I went here with my friend and we moved between a table, to pool, back to another table and our waitress was always very attentive and had no problem tracking us down.
Food was alright - we only shared an order of cheese fries but they were very good. Sadly they were out of their cheesecake spring rolls - which I really wanted to try simply for the novelty factor. Bar is standard - we had cheap beer (Rolling Rock and Coors light) for $2 each - not bad. Pool was a bit pricey, but not terrible.
A big plus for me is the fact that they ID you at the door and give you a wristband - which makes stepping outside for a cigarette very easy and hassle free.
Knocked off half a star because they do not have timers for the pool tables, nor do they inform you of when your hour is up. We went over by 6 minutes (we had to finish the game!) and they charged us a dollar extra for the 6 minutes. Another half star because there was live music that night (some cover band that was quite good) and it was SO loud that me and my friend actually ended up leaving because we couldn't even talk - even though we were on the other side of the room.
First, take the fact that Jillian's is a chain and a cheaper knockoff of the usal Jillian's branch. Â Then you got a decent pool hall and bar. Â The joint has all the fixin's to keep you occupied for the night. Â Lame video games, skeeball, air hockey, ping pong, and those crappy basketball games. Â I guess you can take your kids there but the place might be sketchy after happy hour. Â Plenty of tv's around if you're there to catch a game or UFC event, like I did. Â I liked the pool tables and they have quite a few. Â In decent shape and $7 an hour. Â The bar was good too. Â Good service and plenty of it to go around. Â There seemed to be a healthy number of skanky ladies on the bankroll. Â A plus for me in a place like this but hey, I'm a guy that goes to a Jillian's to drink and watch UFC so there you go. Â Tall beers (26oz) were about $6 although they had an annoying habit of filling my beer with over an inch of head space. Â C'mon, filler to the top. Â Yeah, it might get on your hands if you do that but I didn't get the beer to work the room. Â Didn't try the food, typical bar fare.
Review Source:I have been to 2 other Jillian's besides this one in Worcester and well...I would rather be in the one in Manchester rather than this one. Â I think it's because it feels like you're in an open echoey building with no designated areas...or maybe it feels cavernous and not very personal. Â I walked in with a bunch of girlfriends and I immediately felt lost. Â There were no pool tables open, the bar stools were all taken and when we looked for a seat in the table area..they were all dirty with napkins and crap on them. Â The food was typical pub stuff, nothing great and I didn't expect it as it wasn't expected to be a restaurant anyway. Â The noise level was ridiculous because of the echo in there. Â I couldn't wait to get out of there. Â Not my style of night life at all..sorry.
Review Source:Jillian's is one of the best things to hit Worcester in a long time. Jillian's is a chain of about 14 locations across the country but I won't hold that against them. Jillian's is where you go when you want to have fun playing pool, video  games, or at a traditional bar. True the cues and tables aren't as clean as Boston Billiards down the street but this place is cheaper and there's so much more to do here. From the air hockey tables and big screen TVs, to the waitress taking my drink order while I'm playing pool, Jillian's is a great place to have fun.
