My boyfriend and I went here to play pool, but decided to sit down and eat beforehand. Once we were sat, we waited almost five minutes for someone to come over. Well, no one did. My boyfriend finally found a waitress in the section and asked if we could get something to drink. The girl seemed confused, but said she was our waitress. We order an appetizer, and it took another five or six minutes for that to come out. She never came back to check on us to see if we wanted anything else or to get refills on drinks. Once the appetizer was gone, she took the plate, never asked if we wanted to order an actual entree, finally got the refill, and walked away to other side of the restaurant where no one in the section could find her. Another five minutes later she brought the bill, disappeared AGAIN, and only finally came back to run our card once we'd contemplated finding a manager to take care of the check for us.

The only reason the night was a total bust was after we'd finished dealing with that disaster of a waitress, we went over to play pool (which seems horribly overpriced) and had okay, though not great, service from the waitress assigned to the tables.

Would I go back? Maybe, but I'd have to be really desperate for somewhere to go.

Decent food. Good drinks. The atmosphere varies depending on where you are in the establishment, and whether there's a band that night. The front is an assortment of booths, bar, pool tables, and other gaming areas. There are TVs everywhere. The next rooms is an arcade. Then the back room (The Groove Shack) has its own bar and hosts dances. Thursday night is shag night which is over-crowded during the school year, but fun if you bring friends to dance with. Parking situation varies, depending on events, time of day, and time of year. Bring cash or be prepared to walk, just in case.

I went on a Friday evening with a group of 15-20 friends. The first few people (myself included) to arrive decided on a spot by the pool tables with some tables and chairs along the outside. In the first half hour before more guests arrived the waitress was continual hanging around our area. She kept saying that we could move back to the game room area (this was part of her section). Had we been more in the mood to play games i'm sure we would have gone to Frankie's Fun Park, Chuck E Cheese or a Dave and Busters instead.

Also whilst she was mingling around in our group between her moments of nagging us to move to the other room she had expressed several complaints about her job and the lack of tips she earns.  She was friendly enought o share a story about how her and a coworker went down the street to Liberty Tap Room and the server at Liberty had charged her credit card (which our waitress claims she had left behind) a second time for an additional $5 after they had left. This raised a red flag in my mind and gave me the impression i should check my account (i have several times thankfully nothing yet!).

part of being a good waitress is being attentive to your customers. It isn't however doing any of the following:
    - Constantly asking those people not taking part in the drinking (which they told her they wouldn't be) if they wanted an alcoholic beverage.
    - Hounding those that were looking over the menu if they were eready to order. I watched this happen to two different groups of people in our party. Out waitress would approach the person to see if they were ready and when they said they weren't she would linger around in our group and then approach again a matter of two minutes later for a 10 - 15 minute period.
    - you do not approach all the sober people and the head of the group repeatedly to say you didn't put gratuity on the tabs and to please remind the rest of the party to tip her because the other parties that night haven't tipped her much or at all.

I didn't take part in the food this evening but have had the flatbreads before. Theyre not bad but not something you would write home about.

I do have to say the drinks were some level of awful. The margaritas and vodka cranberries tasted as if they had something quite bitter in them.

The only redeeming things about this outing was the shot girl who was very friendly. She roamed over to our area, gave us our shots (which were better than our drinks) and then made her way elsewhere. The live music of the night wasn't bad, it was of the classic rock  variety. Some band called Black Beards Truck.

Good if you need to learn how to shag--they have friendly (and sometimes downright creepy) people who will help you learn and take you for a spin around the dance floor. They don't teach lessons per se, but I learned much more about how to dance to shag music from Jillian's than in my class. Drinks are EXPENSIVE.

I love this place! It's a great spot to chill with your friends, share some brews, play some pool, listen to live music, watch sports and UFC fights, and dance in the club in the back. There is usually a $5 cover fee with an ATM inside in case you show up with just plastic. Service is great and friendly the only problem is when they fill up with people (halloween, new years, etc) it may take some time to get a drink. In the mean time ask for Natalie and buy a tray of shots.

Such a bad experience, from start to finish...

A group of 10-12 of us came in last night for dinner and drinks, but mostly dinner - we were all starving - around 10pm. However - a $5 cover charge for a place that was maybe 1/3 full and we were all going to order entrees and appetizers? Ridiculous.

Drinks took forever to come out. My vodka soda was a vodka water, but because it took so long in the first place to get to the table, I ordered a beer for the next round because that's impossible to screw up.

The appetizers came out about 5 minutes before the entrees. Well, everyone else's entrees. Everyone else had a plate in front of them, but when the waitress carried over my plate, she suddenly looked down at the Philly Cheesesteak in her hand and did an about face. I ordered a Cuban, so I figured she was going to go trade a wrongly placed dish at the other end of the table. We didn't see or hear from her for close to 25 minutes.

Waitress finally comes back and places what appears to be a cold meat sub and chips and salsa in front of me, saying she was sorry, but she forgot to ring in the Cuban and accidentally rang in two Cheesesteaks. I understand that mistakes happen, but what about coming out and letting me know?

The sandwich was supposed to come with fries and be pressed. I imagine the cook threw something together at the last minute.

Luckily, we don't live in the area, so we have no reason to head back here.

What I liked about Jillian's was the "something for everyone" atmosphere. It's part sport's bar, part restaurant, part arcade, part nightclub. It could seem like a cheesy combination, but they did a good job.

I went on a Saturday night and had to pay a $5 cover. As someone that never carries cash I liked that you can pay your cover via debit/credit so that was a huge convenience. They had live music (rock) playing in the front by the bar, but in the back of the venue there was a dj playing radio hits. The music was pretty diverse so again, there was something to please everyone.

Posting up at the bar I got to know a few of the bartenders which provided a lot of laughs. They were friendly and kept the conversation going as bartenders typically do. The drinks are affordable averaging between $5 - $10 depending on the liquor you choose.

Tip: Don't order a Mojito after 9p - - bartenders complained about having to make these drinks numerous times!!

I didn't get a chance to play any of the games, but I loved all the pool tables, TVs, and arcade games. It's hard to get bored in this place.

I wish I could give a half star rating because this place was a strong 3.5 out of 5. Although I wouldn't make this my weekly hangout, it's a great option to please the masses when looking for a fun night out.

Please note that they do have a regular and reverse happy hour, but it does not apply to drinks - - only food.

This is a pretty cool place. Its huge and has a lot of pool tables, and the night I went they had a band playing some good covers. It seems like a good joint to watch a big game or fight.

Just landed in Columbia for work. STARVING!!! My teammates and I headed out to find some food - i didnt really like the look of the place but i was outvoted & we ended up at Jillians. It is Sunday afternoon, so they are pretty slow...a birthday party & a few other tables - the restaurant is in an old warehouse (maybe a train station) & has pool tables, lots of TVs...sports bar!!
The hostess was nice enough and our waiter was pleasant. We ordered and then waited OVER 35 min!!!!!!!
Hellooo?? where was our waiter? where was anyone?!? seriously 30 + min for sandwiches, salmon and a medium ribeye...?? UNACCEPTABLE!
When i finally found the waiter to complain he had our food - finally.
The wait was bad enough but then the food was pretty bad also! Mashed potatoes like glue - no flavor - straight from a box. Philly cheesesteak & french dip sammys were exactly the same except the slice of unmelted cheese on the philly. Fries cold. Salmon flavorless, veggies overlaoded with salt & grease. Steak was decent but was paired with the bad sides (Mashed ta-toes & veggies).
Seriously, had the waiter just explained the wait or addressed it or something!! maybe they would get an additional star - i dont think that anyone comes here for the food - looks like a college drinking joint & i shouldve stuck to my first impression and said no. Now im saying HELL NO! not worth the wait for really really bad (&bland) food.

This place seems like a cool place to hang out with friends and drink even though I didn't do either. I just came here for dinner with some friends & I got the short ribs. They were soft, tender, juicy, and very tasty!

They sell cigars. mediocre cigars but when your from outta town and dont have a ride itll do. Jackncoke was weak tho. Place practically abandoned in summer on a Tuesday but a fantastic place to relax on the couch. No smoking inside though, so had to go out for the cigar.

For those who are familiar with Dave and Busters it's similar to that. A good place for beer, appetizers and watching sports. Lots of TV's, tables, pool tables, video games. On certain nights it opens the back for dancing & a DJ. Casual. Mixed crowd.

A great bar to watch football when your stuck in South Carolina for two weeks. It was hard to get used to games starting at 1:00 but all those huge TVs made up for it. The beer selection could have been larger but I made due with a Blue Moon. The food was good, I had the blackened Cajun chicken sandwich and not to expensive. I was here on a Saturday night when the Gamecocks were playing and it was way to full. Service was nonexistent but it wasn't there fault.

This is a great sports bar with plenty of TVs and pool tables, however the food needs some help to match the rest of the place.  Located in an old warehouse the decor and feel is what you would expect from a place like this in a college town.

The burgers all look great on the menu, but you can only get them cooked medium-well or well-done due to "state law."  Umm, no, but that's what they have always said.  The food would be so much better if you could get your burger medium.  I'm not one for charcoal burgers.
