My first choice in value-priced takeout pizza:
*Gluten-free crust available (10" for $2 extra), which makes pizza night much easier for a group including someone who needs a gluten-free option. My Gluten-free Girl thought the crust might be from Udi's; we don't really know, but it tasted good, even for a wheat-eater like me.
*Good topping options, including fresh tomatoes, chicken, anchovies, even shrimp.
*The large salads contain enough for two or more people; we really like the antipasta and the Greek.
*Service is friendly and fast, and orders are packaged neatly. I notice there's an online ordering option, though I haven't tried it.
*College Dads like me can buy pizza for the spring breakers in the house, and still scrape together enough money for the next double tuition payment.
Favorite pizza place in the area. Â The sandwiches are good, though the italian beef might disappoint those well versed in the dish (it's still tasty). Â The pizza is a big plus. Â The sauce is a bit sweet for my tastes, but the cheese is very flavorful and pushes Joe's product well beyond the reach of the chain pizza places that litter the metro east. Â Honestly, in bigger cities, this would be a solid 3 stars, but in Edwardsville it's an easy 4.
