Jim's Pizza Tour does not condone or promote eating at chains for your pizza(don't ever get me started on Pizza Hut), but Johnny's is just plain good. I have been eating at them occasionally for maybe ten years(?) and finally they have a location pretty close to me. We stopped in after a morning of very hard hiking and got a good seat and chowed down.
I love the garlic knots here. Really good flavor. And came out fresh and pretty quick. Had to go easy on them because out came the..............
........pizza! We got a large pepperoni and it had really good flavor. I like how the pizza tastes here. Not so much sauce so they pepperoni flavor comes thru. That's the way to do it. Had to take half of it home. And a bonus that I've always liked is how good cold pizza tastes a day later.
For the love of garlic knots! Â Johnny's garlic knots are tremendous and ordered every time we visit whether we are there to have pizza, wings, a sub, or dinners. Â You must try them if you visit.
The pizza is great and they always have a special for pizza on Friday nights. Not too much sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. Â Though I'm happy with perfect to loaded in the cheese department.
Last night we had the wings. Â There are many choices but I prefer hot and sweet and they have the best, just the right amount of both and the right amount of sauce. Â These are a wash your hands sticky gooey wonderful dish! Â They have a list of wing flavors above the bar and on the menu so you are sure to find your favorite.
If you are looking for really good Italian food in Cornelia you need to visit Johnny's. Â Next up, for the hubby, he is going to try the lasagna. Â Me, not sure yet but probably a sub.
